Hozam Wellness és Apartman

Hazam Hotel is located in a quiet & shady street at 2.3km distance of Szolnok railway station. The hotel was built in 1999 and offers 11 rooms over 4 floors, indoor-pool & sauna, and elevator. Furnishings and decoration provide an OK 19-nineties atmosphere. Reception is open till 22:00. Service is friendly. We had a spacious single room at the ground floor. The adequately furnished room had desk & chair, filter-coffee facility, TV, wardrobe & safe, air-conditioning, fridge, and an OK single bed. We had a bathroom equipped for the handicapped with large washbasin, toilet & shower. Windows can be opened and one has a mosquito screen. Good Wi-Fi. All was clean. An OK buffet breakfast is served: scrambled eggs & fried eggs, bread & toast, cold-cuts & cheese, butter & marmalade, orange juice, cereals, milk & yoghurt, tea & coffee. Hazam is a practical & comfortable hotel, and we had a good stay. Excellent value-for-money. Recommended.

We were looking for a different hotel in Szolnok before a few days in Budapest but our in-car navigator couldn't find that one, but had no trouble finding the Hozam Klub, with a parking space right outside. We hadn't prebooked but were treated very well at reception and given a perfectly adequate room, as detailed in other reviews. The receptionist's recommendation for a restaurant was spot on, and the best "Hungarian" food we had all week. In the morning after the free breakfast we were advised to move the car into their free car park to avoid parking charges, and a first, a hose pipe to wash the dust off the rental! 5*s just for that! Oh and then use of the free spa/jacuzzi. A real gem if one is in the area.
