Te Mao

A nice basic place to stay in a quiet, convenient area. This lodging is only a few minutes from the airport, useful for withdrawing cash at the only ATM. Also, a few minutes bike ride to a small store to get basic supplies. There is a small restaurant opposite this store too. The room is simple, clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. There was a kettle and fridge. There is a garden also with two seating areas. Some of the rooms have a patio with seating. I didn't have one of these. You may need to request one. The women working there doing the greeting, key delivery and house keeping were pleasant, essentially French speaking, we spoke in French. There are bicycles available with an extra charge. These are very useful for getting around the island. Rangiroa is a very simple island. The way of life is at a much slower pace with a very laid back attitude. This is reflected in Te Mao.
