Good standard Scandic hotel. Breakfast was nice, typical Scandic breakfast. The rooms were nice, typical Scandic style. But unfortunately they were very hot now during summer because there were no airconditioning. We had a room on the fourth floor with a view towards the small canal.

The Scandic brand gives you guaranteed standards wherever you go. The hotel in Rauma, well located for the old town and with free parking, is a bog-standard offering and nothing to write home about. It felt like a regional hotel trying to pretend to be something better. Rooms are identical, but paying a supplement will get you a few extras such as bathrobes, a higher floor and tea and coffee facilities. There is nothing special about the rooms. With no air-conditioning and windows which barely open, the summer experience can be a hot and stuffy one. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are served in a large and gloomy ground floor room. It was dark enough in summer, so in the winter goodness knows what it must be like. There is some outside seating overlooking the canal. Staff were friendly and welcoming as usual, but seemed to be under a lot of pressure, perhaps because of summer holiday absences. So I would recommend the hotel as a base for exploring Rauma, especially if you arrive by car. But don’t expect too much of the hotel.

There is no air inside the hotel and rooms are suffocatingly hot. They have a ridiculously tiny fan in the room that does nothing. Colors and furniture in the entire hotel are outdated. Breakfast is as boring as can be with the worst coffee ever. The dinner was also pretty embarassing. For a Scandic chain you expect at least the minimal level of standards but this was below it all. People have been complaining for years about the air quality and they do not give a rats ass. Cherry on top is that cheap tiny fan that showes literally how much the manager of the hotel cares about their customers.

One night stay on a business trip. Hotel room was basic and clean. No kettle in the room. Hotel sauna was really good, hair conditioner would be nice addition! Simple meny on hotel restaurant but food was really tasty. Breakfast very good also. Would not come here on a romantic trip but for other occations hotel is good option

Hotel rooms needs renovation. Wc-door was broken - not possible to close or lock. Room’s door had 2 cm hole to the corridor. The room was located next from elevator. All the noise and lights came directly to the room. See the pics! Breakfast was good and reseption-guy was friendly, but all in all - the room was a joke.

On a work trip….Over my one night stay i had to recheck my electric room key two times for it didnt work (even was not near my phone). Beside that my room 311 ”air condition” made weird whistling…i dont think anyone wants to sleep in that sound. Had to change a room. Not coming back. Way too expensive for this value.

Clean, modern rooms. Old building and common areas probably built in 60-70s. Small restaurant where breakfast is. Nice view to city and canal. Close to old Rauma city, in walking distance. Currently road work on entrance but drive to hotel is permitted. Free parking in lot.
