The most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything about it was just perfection. Everyone who worked there was extremely warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Amalfi!

Incredible staff, food and views of Amalfi coast. The staff is top-notch and very welcoming. You must try the restaurant. We had most items from the dinner menu and everything was very delicious. One of the best meals we’ve ever had and not very expensive. The town center is just steps away with many shops, dining options and great walking experience. We will definitely be back!

I recently read some negative reviews and I want to counterbalance the comments. We had an EXCELLENT stay at Villa Fraulo: clean, well-appointed, large room overlooking the Mediterranean and villages below. In fact, we decided that during our 4 day stay we would not leave for day trips to Capri or Positano. The highlight, besides the view, was the staff that suggested local activities (Festa della Castagna!), restaurants and arranged for transport. The industry has been plagued with staff shortages, and excited (and exhausted) by the unusually busy extended travel season. Villa Fraulo staff ~ thanks for making our travels in Italy superior!

The hotel itself is in a wonderful part of Amalfy. The staff and services at the hotel are very poor. They charge for everything and that's after you've paid a princely sum to book and stay there. They charge 8 euros to iron a shirt and refuse to send an ironing board and iron to the room. The rooms have maintenance issues. The shower and sink taps were broken and about to fall off. cracked tiles in the shower making it a health hazard as well as loose sockets. The staff, apart from one reception staff, are rude and have no sense of hospitality. The breakfast staff are just lazy and totally unhelpful. Breakfast is served till 10.30 but they started clearing the breakfast buffet away at 10.15 and when you ask them if you can have some buffet food, they rudely tell you its finished and walk off and don't come out again. I asked for some bacon as the serving dishes had ran out. it took them 40 minutes for me to get the bacon and that's after asking them 6 or 7 times. they just didn't care. Such a shame because the views are amazing. The staff need retraining or better still replacing!!! Extremely poor. I would not be booking here again.

We stayed at the wonderful Villa Fraulo for five days. The hotel is very beautiful because the owners have maintained the historical charm of the villa. Every staff member was extremely gracious and helpful. Roberta is an absolute gem and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. She is warm, kind, resourceful and extremely professional. Our room was large, well appointed and very clean. The views from our room and the terrace were spectacular. It’s a very short walk to the piazza, shops, and fantastic restaurants. I’ve read some reviews that downgrade the hotel for not being up to date. This is kind of ironic because this is a historic villa with old world charm. If you’re not expecting that and want modern accommodations maybe you should reconsider Italy or try to find a chain hotel. Ravello is a gem of the Amalfi coast and the Villa Fraulo is the perfect place to stay.

One of the strangest hotel stays I’ve ever experienced, where to start! To the extremely outdated decor, unhelpful and unfriendly staff, the odd layout and general feel that the hotel is unloved and uncared for, this was my first impression on arrival and set the tone for my whole stay. Beyond basic room, terrible nights sleep from street noise, no holiday lay in from hotel noise, lousy breakfast and amenities. The only positive is the view and you can see that from one of the many beautiful hotels and restaurants next door! Avoid at all cost!

Worst experience ever. Still gives me nightmares. Everything about the property and our stay felt so low end. The room had a strange smell, was way too hot at night (couldn’t sleep) and lots of noise as close to the main road. To call our room a suite was an unfunny joke. Despite non refundable booking, we changed hotel and our world improved immeasurably. Rude receptionists and management. I wish I could turn back time and never enter the hotel. Wouldn’t stay here for free.

The pillows and comforter were adorned with hair, and an unmistakable moldy odor permeated the room upon entry. To our surprise, a wedding ceremony took place just outside our room, extending late into the night, a fact that was unfortunately never communicated to us. In our attempt to address the matter with the general manager, we were met with an aggressive response, including profanity and a willingness to resort to physical confrontation. Shockingly, despite being compelled to relocate due to these issues, the general manager adamantly refused any form of refund. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment and sincerely hope that others are spared from encountering similar distressing situations.

Awful. Tired property. Room looked like a 1950’s retirement home, smelly, air conditioning didnt work, big road noise. Hotel tried to charge me twice for same room but I spotted due to bank notifications and was refunded. Ended up disliking it so much we changed to another hotel which was awesome
