Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast

I had the pleasure of staying at Caruso in 2007. It was after that trip that I told myself I would make it back here one day because of how special this place is. I was lucky to make that dream come true and it was all that I remembered and more. First, I must acknowledge the incredible staff. To me, beautiful hotels can certainly impress, but it's the people who create the experience and make you want to return! In particular, Iolanda, the General Manager, was spectacular, charming, personable, accommodating, and genuinely approachable. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and is a true asset to the property. I wish her nothing but continued success and all the very best. Antonietta, Alessandra & Gabriella at the front desk, were wonderful. Not only were they able to upgrade us to a jaw-dropping suite, but every interaction we had with them was professional, friendly, and exemplified the highest level of customer service. At the restaurants, Chef Christian, Carmine, Giovanni, Marco & Nicola welcomed us with smiles and wowed us with memorable meals and wonderful conversation. Marilena, the guest experience manager was a delight. It's very apparent that she is passionate about her position and providing above and beyond experiences for her guests. The service here is truly five-star. As is the stunning infinity pool that is constantly listed as one of the world's best. The commitment to customer service and refined hospitality really impressed me. Staff constantly greeted me by my last name, they would check in to make sure my stay was as enjoyable as it could be and were happy to acknowledge and follow through on my requests. We spent most of our time by the pool, swimming to the infinity edge, soaking in the breathtaking views of the winding coastline and the mountains in the distance. It was the perfect place to unwind, indulge, lose track of time and never want to leave. The poolside restaurant was my happy place. One of my favorite memories is seeing the plumes from pizza oven smokestack, which brought a smile to my face as I knew what delicious pizzas were coming our way. God they were good! Lets not forget to mention the impressive breakfast service. The beautiful fresh made pastries, the enticing meat and cheese station looked over by a delightful attendant, all the traditional breakfast items and a full menu if you would like something more substantial. All with a gorgeous view overlooking the coast. We dined at Caruso Grill our last night for dinner where Carmine and Giovanni wowed us with a fantastic table in an intimate and beautiful setting. I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Christian hard at work with his team and as expected, every dish was incredible. Our junior suite 205, (which seems like an understatement) was an absolute dream. We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday at Caruso Grill and were amazed by the ever so warm hospitality. It was truly the best place to enjoy this milestone birthday. The team at the restaurant made every wish possible and simply perfect. The seafood options are excellent and the pasta dishes beautiful. The wine list had our favourite Rosé. Two musicians which play local songs on the guitar and mandolin throughout the restaurant created a great atmosphere. Overall, the hotel is such a romantic place with corners to enjoy the view of the ocean or the perfectly kept garden. There is music playing at every corner putting you in a very relaxed mood. Lastly, the pool, million dollar view!!! It was a perfect evening which left nothing to be desired. Thank you

Wonderful night at one of the most iconic places on the Amalfi Coast. Incredible food and wine accompanied by very enjoyable entertainment. Excellent service throughout the event and amazing dessert buffet presentation. Will attend every year!

I was not staying at the property, but just having lunch and was able to see a room. It is the most beautiful hotel! The rooms were stunning with views to match. Lunch by the pool was quiet and delicious with the best service by Giovanni and his staff. They made my friend and I feel as we were special guests. Hotel Caruso is a must see. I will be returning to stay!

Dear Caruso Team, I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for the incredible hospitality you showed Hilya and me during our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were completely blown away. The views are simply stunning, the interiors are beautiful and lavish while still feeling incredibly welcoming, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel is exceptional. Even the smallest touches in our room, from the personalised welcome letter to the way everything was so thoughtfully prepared, made arriving at Caruso feel incredibly special. But as beautiful as the hotel is, what really made our stay unforgettable was the people and the level of care we received from the entire team. It wasn't simply the service itself, but all the thoughtful little things you did throughout our stay that made it so memorable. The incredibly thoughtful gifts to celebrate our engagement, the team bringing drinks down to us by the pool, every staff member remembering our names, and the countless small gestures throughout our stay genuinely made us feel so looked after. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. This was already going to be one of the most important trips of our lives, but the Caruso team went above and beyond to make it even more special. Hilya and I spoke several times during the stay about just how incredible the service was. We've stayed at some wonderful hotels around the world, but the combination of such a beautiful setting, incredible attention to detail, warmth and genuinely personal service at Caruso really stood out. You have an exceptional team, and I hope our thanks can be passed on to everyone who looked after us. We stayed for our honeymoon. Exceptional service and staff, nice rooms with views, and best focus on details. Dinner restaurant can be improved in ambience and food taste which is the reason for our reviewn to be 4 stars not 5. The location is on top and an 11th centuries structure. No details are overlooked. We love the spacious room beautiful decor and beautiful marble bath with Dyson hairdryer, face mask, cute hair ties, and soft pad by the bed!! They also surprised us with beautiful rose petals in the tub and on our bed for our honeymoon. Wonderful! Concierge Andrea was very helpful. Pool staff are very friendly and helpful! And Evian facial sprays are nice to have! Chef Antonio is skilled and taught us how to make pizza. Salvador our dinner waiter is very nice and knowledgeable. Hotel also include free personal training at the beautiful outdoor gym overlooking the sea. Trainer Luka is wonderful! Dining room is beautiful during the day with view of the sea. However at night, the dining room looked very plain. And the lighting is a bit white, not amber which is be more romantic. The food was ok. The veal and fish were both just ok. Appetizers and fesserts are good. We liked our dinner at Le Siranuse more. But Belmond.dinner menu does provide more choices on fixed courses which is nice. Thank you Belmond staff.
