The room was small fir 3 Not enough towels for 3 had to ring & get housekeeping to provide more Paid for breakfast on checking but wax challenged each morning as it was not registered at the restaurant - this was embarrassing. Selection of bread at breakfast was v limited. The fried foods were very very greasy. Good selection if snacks available at reception.

Novotel Reading Centre is located in the heart of Reading, with convenient access to food, accommodation, and transportation. It is a 3-minute walk to the train station and a 3-minute walk to museums, parks, monasteries, and supermarkets. The front desk service is very friendly, and the swimming pool and gym are open normally from 10:00-22:00 every day. We are responsible for cleaning our floors very seriously and clean the rooms on time every day! Everyone gathers together at the bar downstairs every night to watch the World Cup, it's very happy! Five star rating! Like it, thank you!

The hotel is conveniently located, about a 4 to 5-minute walk from Reading train station. However, the hotel is generally quite old, and many facilities are in need of maintenance. The shower temperature was very difficult to control, and the fridge wasn't working properly. The room itself was spacious, and the price was more affordable compared to hotels in London. Breakfast was excellent value for money at just £13, with a wide variety of food options. The staff were friendly and very willing to help.

Room spacious and well-designed, but sad wear and tear. After long flight was looking forward to hot soak, but bath lever didn’t work and tub didn’t drain readily. Hand soap empty or dispenser didn’t work. Toilet door wouldn’t shut properly and ventilation didn’t work either - not a great combination. Reported all to reception but didn’t get the impression anyone cared. Guess they have a captive Heathrow audience.

Just my personal opinion, but even though the hotel is centrally located near the train station, the safety and security at night felt a bit unnerving. We rented a car for our trip, but the hotel has very limited parking. While they could arrange for us to park at a nearby lot, it wasn't free for guests, and the walk back to the hotel from the parking lot was through a rather unpleasant area, which was far from ideal. The room was small and cramped. The drainage for both the shower and the sink in the bathroom was also very poor. This was honestly the worst experience I've had staying at a hotel of this brand.
