Fatal. Las habitaciones son muy antiguas. El váter tiene instrucciones para tirar de la cadena durante 10segundos, y entonces sube el nivel que parece que va a desbordar, y al bajar arrastra todo (asqueroso). La primera ha itacion tenía el váter atascado, subía y subía pero luego se estancaba y no bajaba. Nos cambiaron de habitacion, y en la segunda vimos que el agua que salía del grifo estaba turbia (ver foto). Probamos una tercera habitación y también salía turbia, necesita urgentemente una actuación en la fontanería. Los desagües y la bañera estaban todos amarillos No pudimos utilizar el baño debido a lo expuesto anteriormente, algo vergonzoso para ser un Parador, de 4 estrellas y a más de 150€ la noche. El resto de la habitación antigua, pero correcta y muy amplia. El personal de 10, encantadores todos, una pena la difícil tarea que tienen en dar la cara cuando está claro que las instalaciones no están a la altura.

I’m a bit conflicted with this review as I loved the location of this hotel. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. We had booked half board (probably the best thing to do as there is nowhere to eat without driving) but in fairness the food was very good. The public areas of the hotel are stunning, as is the general area. However, as other people have mentioned the hotel is in need of a renovation. The good news is that the renovation is starting in October and is due to take 20 months to complete. I confidently predict that it will be stunning.

Views from the rooms and bar veranda are breathtaking. Feels like and upmarket alpine chalet with beautiful public rooms. Great service from staff and excellent good. Very good value

Beautiful views. I recommend working to have a path to the reservoir without going through the road. Easy to walk to Cerveira

We stayed for one night on our way back to Santander, and what a joy this Parador is.. All of the staff from are friendly and helpful and nothing is any trouble.. The Superior, rooms which are very large, have a Balcony and views of the Lake and Mountains, and are well worth the extra cost and thoroughly recommended.. The restaurant for Dinner was again excellent with well presented and perfectly cooked local produce.. Breakfast was ample and very good. The Parador itself is quietly situated and tranquil.. Possibly the only point that I would bring to prospective stayers attention is that the Bedrooms are Not air conditioned - the public spaces, of which there are ample, are - other than that, this is a delightful Parador and thoroughly recommended

Was staying for one night for my birthday but turned into three when our car broke down. All the staff were great, especially Sara and Nuria on reception. They rang around garages and translated for us. Rooms were spacious but no tea/coffee making facilities. Restaurant and bar excellent.

The location and the view from our supposedly superior room was wonderful, but the hotel needs all areas to refurbished. When it is we may return.
