The facilities are basic but good. Service was friendly. The location is excellent, located very close to the entrance of the park and there are stores and restaurants in the general vicinity.

This hostel is incredibly convenient due to its location right inside the Danxia Scenic Area. That’s honestly it’s only saving grace. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by poor maintenance and a serious lack of cleanliness. The bathroom was particularly bad; it absolutely stank, which contributed to an unpleasant odor throughout the room. The first time we showered, water flooded the entire floor because the drain was completely clogged with hair from previous guests. The manager did come to remove the cover, but that was just one issue. The bathroom tap had no handle, and water was constantly leaking from under the sink, leaving the floor wet and unhygienic at all times. The rest of the room didn’t fare much better. We noticed brown stains on the bedsheets and had to ask the manager to change them. There were no disposable slippers or bottled water provided, and despite staying two nights, no one came to collect the garbage from our room. There’s really no need for hostels or home stays in China to offer such low quality anymore. Basic cleanliness and working facilities should be a given, not a request.
