I wanted a hotel to be near my daughter in student accommodation. There really isn’t another hotel anywhere near so I had no choice. I have to stay there again in a few months time and I will take a kettle and a European plug adapter as there aren’t any USB ports in the room. There isn’t a kettle in the room but there is a machine for hot n cold water in reception- just be aware that it can be quite busy in the foyer area at times and so I felt a little uncomfortable making my drink! There isn’t a lift but the stairs were not steep. The bed was really comfortable and the duvet n pillows were super soft. The carpet/ Lino was very worn and needs replacing - I was glad I took my slippers! Shower was a French-style in-the-bath type so no super-luxury bathroom sorry! Room was quiet and private. It had a large window with a decent curtain and had an adjustable radiator. Smart flat-screen TV worked fine. So overall it was okay apart from the carpets and lack of kettle. The receptionists were really helpful and polite. They all speak several languages. Someone is on reception 24/7. You can buy drinks there and I had a pitcher of wine. They charge 13€ for breakfast which I didn’t have as I thought that was expensive for a basic hotel. I think the hotel is used for conferences during the day. Parking was right outside main entrance and it seemed to be safe.

5 out of 5 The room and bathroom were spacious, there is ample storage space, two wardrobes and a safe (which is free to use) is in one wardrobe, there is even a hidden mini kitchen area. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was it has parking and for €10 it’s well worth it for peace of mind if you’ve got a car full of fishing gear, make sure you request parking when you book though. It’s in a great location, a nice bar called La Piste is at the end of the road but as you walk into the centre, which takes about 10 minutes, you pass many other cafes and bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night but you could definitely stay for longer.
With 119 rooms, Mama offers you a comfortable and modern refuge. Sip a cocktail in the Salon Marin, taste our homemade dishes on the rooftop or head to Mamm's Bar before enjoying karaoke with friends. Relax in the indoor pool, the spa and the fitness center. We even have options for your children: children's menu, free breakfast for children under 3 years of age, free baby crib on request.

We had brunch and our experience was not memorable at all. The service was extremely poor! 1/ we booked a week in advance requesting to sit by the window. When we arrived, we were shown to a table in the center of the room. I asked for the table requested as I could see that there were a few tables by the window unoccupied, but was told that it’s all full!!! I insisted and had to wait for them to come back with a negative reply. All this time while waiting, the people who arrived after us were shown to the tables by the window. So, not wanting to be petty, we accepted the table. 2/ the waiter explained to us that brunch is from 12 noon to 16:00. So you would assume that you could stay until then. At 13:30 we were told very rudely that we had to leave as there will be a second service. All this, without an apology, or an advance notice that we need to vacate the table! Very very unprofessional. 3/the plate of my niece was literally taken away under her nose, as she was finishing her dessert! We were so shocked that we didn’t even have time to make any comments! There are more but I wouldn’t bore you. Suffice to say we were not impressed at all by this restaurant. Food was so so. It wasn’t even on the rooftop. Anyway even if you still want to go, there is no need to ask to be seated by the windows as there is nothing to see. I am shocked that such a well know brand of hotel/restaurant is providing such awful service. I would not recommend this restaurant

I expected so much more out of this big chain hospitality company. But, sadly, like many of these big companies, they try to cut as many corners as possible. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: The location is excellent. The hotel is sort of tucked away from the main street so it is very quiet. Also, it is not too far from public transit. Both bus and metro stops are very close and easily reachable by foot. The main lobby itself was relatively clean. Cons: The front desk staff was just okay - they were not rude by any means, but not overly friendly either. They were just...there. The only coffee they had in the room was horrible instant coffee. Then, they charge you 2.50 Euros for an espresso that uses a pod. I have stayed in many, many hotels in Europe (smaller boutique hotels with smaller budgets) that provided a machine with pods in my room. Those that have not provided a machine have never charged me for one espresso. I am sure had I made a habit of it, they would have charged. But seriously, 2.50 for one pod of espresso? Mercure can pony up. We are also convinced the cleaning staff did not properly clean our room. There was something on the ground that sat there for days in the bathroom. We saw it after the first day thinking it was strange it was still there. As a test, we left it there (it was a door sign) to see if it would ever be picked up, but it sat there for days. My BIGGEST issue with this hotel was the SMOKING AREA. They have tables and chairs right outside the front doors of the hotel where people can smoke. Every morning and evening their would be many people sitting out there puffing away. So, each time we would either leave the hotel in the morning and return in the evenings, we would have to walk through a cloud of smoke. The smoke would also enter the lobby and dining area where you could easily smell it. Nothing is more unappealing when you are trying to sit there, eat breakfast and you have to breathe in disgusting, foul cigarette smoke. Overall, I just expected more from a big company such as Mercure. Like I said earlier, I have stayed at smaller boutique hotels where they have smaller budgets. Despite this, they put a real emphasis on customer service and pay close attention to details.

We stayed in a first-floor room with a little terrace of our own. Was idyllic on that terrace except for when the air conditioning unit on the adjacent roof was humming and dumping hot air on us. Such a shame because everything else here was first class. The staff. The restaurant. The courtyard bar. The location near one of the best wine and food streets in Rennes. Absolutely would stay here again but might not bother with the terrace room next time.

I stayed here for 4 nights while here for work. I found the hotel to be quiet and comfortable with adequate air conditioning and good WiFi. Everything worked and was clean and maintained, although the rooms were clearly old and rather soulless. Breakfast was great in places (freshly squeezed orange juice, leaf tea!) and not so good in others (cooked breakfast was well below average), but if you are happy with continental style food then you will be happy. The staff I spoke to were all friendly and helpful too. Finally, the location is excellent, with so many places just a short walk away

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of April-early May 2024. I highly recommend this hotel. It has a great location -- about .4 miles from the train station and about an equal distance in the other direction to Old Town, Parc du Thabor, and other places you'll want to see. My wife enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The staff was very helpful. Our room was clean. Lots of restaurants nearby. Rennes is a beautiful university town with a great Saturday market; it was a highlight of our 17-day trip to Brittany and Normandy.

The hotel was very difficult to find. Our GPS kept sending us down a barricaded street. The hotel staff were aware of that and we were surprised that they did not send us a better set of coordinated. That being said, the hotel is perfectly located for train access as you can walk to the station in 2 minutes. I found it clean, well appointed and the bed was fine. However, the pillows were very thick and very hard, rendering them completely useless. I tried to get a different one from the receptionist (who was very accommodating) but that was all they had. Eventually I created my own pillow using towels and their pillow case. Otherwise, the hotel was great.
Located in close proximity to the bus and train stations, Hôtel Campanile Rennes Centre – Gare offers an ideal location. Hotel ia so near to station, easily walking from station to hotel and it's lots of restaurants and mart nearby. It's also clean and comfy inside the room. If i have chance, i and my family would back to stay again.

Very close to Ryan Railway Station, 5 minutes walk, no need to catch the train, with Brittany 7-day train free travel package, very cost-effective. There is Carrefour around 10 minutes walk, and there are small medium-sized super. The staff service attitude is very good, the room is good, the overall feeling is very cost-effective.
Black clothes in the room may fade, so be sure to pay attention to the clothes you just washed.

零零零星星的旅程Stayed here at the first stop to Ryan. Because the train arrived very late, the hotel is facing the train station, it is really convenient!
🔔 Service: Because of the trip with the baby, the staff chose a room with a Star Wars pattern. The baby likes the spaceship very much 👍.
🧹 Hygiene: The bathroom is completely new and renovated, and there is a small bathtub, which is very good.
🍃 Environment: The only downside is that the room smells a bit of smoke and the window is scattered. Isn't it a smoke-free room? In addition, the air conditioning is a bit noisy.
🧹 Health: Very clean 👍
GGuest UserLike its address says, this hotel is right across the street from the Rennes train station. It is located about a 15 minute walk to the center of the city with its pedestrian streets, medieval buildings, restaurants and bars, tourist sights and museums. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. Since we were too early to check our luggage was by reception for us both at check in and at check out. Our room was large, well lit with a modern bathroom. The room had an espresso machine so we bought our breakfast at the nearly patisserie and had it in our room with a good cup of coffee. Even though our room faced the train station, its square and multiple restaurants, it was very quiet. It had a small balcony that faced the square for nice views. This hotel was a solid choice for our stay in Rennes.
We stayed here as a last resort after several other Novotel disasters (3 chicken nuggets served as a ‘burger’; my wife and I receiving our meals 5 minutes apart and both stone cold; a maitre D that tried to open a bottle of champagne with a corkscrew etc,) This was our first visit to Rennes and our last try of this formerly trusted hotel brand. They were undergoing building work so the kitchen was a container in the car park, the menu was limited to burgers, saucisses and crepes served on plastic trays in paper containers. Strangely it worked, the staff were brilliant at making it feel that this was something special, the ambience was great (no tvs with football on) and we had a fab evening. The only drawback was the limited wine list with no AC Bordeaux available (how does Accor group run out of wine in France?). I really hope they don’t implement the new kitchen/dining room and stay with this formula that really works. Well done everyone.
GGuest UserThe location is very good to walk 2 minutes to the train station. There are several stairs at the entrance of the hotel, and it is more embarrassing to take a large meeting. Booked hotel breakfast but it turned out to be 7:30 to 9:00. The completion time was too early and too short, which was not convenient for guests. The room is clean and tidy, there is a lot of dust, the hand dish is very slow to remove the water, it should not be cleaned for a long time, the carpet makes the skin of the legs itchy.
XXINBooked a two-bedroom apartment, actually next door to the hotel. Remodeled from the old room, there is no elevator, the corridor is narrow, and the window at the stairway cannot be closed. The room is spacious and can accommodate six people. There is a kitchen and washing machine. WiFi signal is very poor. Breakfast is good value for money and the service staff is good.
GGuest UserLe Paris-Brest hotel offers a convenient and comfortable stay, especially for travelers arriving by train, as it is located just a short walk from the train station. The staff are exceptionally nice and go out of their way to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. The breakfast at Le Paris-Brest is a highlight, with a nice selection of fresh and tasty options to start your day off right. The overall ambiance of the hotel is welcoming and cozy, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. One area for improvement would be the bathrooms, which could benefit from a bit of renovation to enhance the overall comfort and experience. Despite this, the hotel provides good value for money and is a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.
BBrice.fourneronThe hotel is strategically located just a stone’s throw away from Rennes train station.
The welcome is professional and friendly, the standard room is very correct, there is nothing about cleanliness.
There was only a leak under the sink, but the front desk moved us to another room.
The breakfast is perfect and complete, with several products to choose from.
I recommend.
