This may seem like a long review, there’s lots to get through – so stick with me on this! Check-in was quick, and we were told to wait outside for a porter to take us and our luggage to the room. We waited for at least 20 minutes before someone turned up – apparently reception staff hadn’t notified anyone that we were waiting. We booked a Premium double room for my wife and I and our son. The room was on the third floor. As we walked up the stairs, there was linen, and sheets just left scattered on the staircase and side which turned out to be a regular occurrence during the week – even after the cleaners had finished. We noticed one bundle was there for a complete week without being moved. The room was tiny – nothing like what we expected for a “Premium” room. There was a sofa made out to be a single bed right next to the double – no privacy at all. A glass door separated the bedroom from the toilette and shower – again, no privacy. A large window was between the bathroom and bedroom, so if anyone used the toilette at night, it would light up the whole room. We booked an inland view, but the view from the balcony was a concrete staircase to another block – not even a garden or pool view. But what was even worse, the air conditioning didn’t work. It was on but the temperature didn’t drop past 29 degrees. We complained to the holiday rep’s and reception – they sent out maintenance on several occasions but still didn’t work. Eventually they moved us to another room after 6 days which we were happy about (still had a glass door and window between the bedroom and toilette in the new room). Pet hate number 1: Smoking The hotel didn’t have designated areas for people smoking. People were smoking at the night entertainment around young children, in the outside restaurant areas when people were eating and around the pool. Sure a designated area can’t be that hard to arrange! There are plenty of pools at the hotel – those closer to the rooms were mainly for young families with music, entertainment, ball games etc. The infinity pool near the beach was a “quiet” pool with no games allowed. Some families thought it was acceptable to bring their own music speakers and play quite loud which wasn’t acceptable. The hotel should have an age restriction on the infinity pool – there were two occasions where younger children used it as a toilette which resulted in the pool being closed for 3 hours. The beach is quite small and stoney – not directly accessible from the hotel area which I was disappointed with. There is also a water park which we used once as the slides are prone to giving you friction burns – so be careful. Pet hate number 2: Reserving lounges There are plenty of loungers, but some people thought it was perfectly OK to put towels on a sun lounger and not return to them for 6-7 HOURS. In other resorts that I’ve stayed at – if you are not on a lounger for 45 minutes, the towels are removed to let other families use the loungers. Pool towels are

The hotel was absolutely perfect. We loved our swim up pool room, what a treat. The staff were all so helpful and friendly all over the hotel. In particular Jessie in the restaurant was a superstar - our son has multiple allergies and she brought him his own food cooked separately in the kitchen for every single meal - unbelievable! We have never had that service before and it was so reassuring for him. Thomas in the swim up pool bar was also huge fun - the boys loved him making their drinks with comedic flair. The pools were great, the boys (aged 14 and 11) loved the waterslides. Food was delicious and the drinks were too. I used the gym a lot which was handy and the grounds of the hotel are kept beautifully. Perfect position too - very near a beach with water sports that we all loved. If you can, get up early to see the sunrise - spectacular!

Just back from a wonderful holiday here. Beautiful setting - I could never tire of the lovely sea and amazing mountain views (do a climb to see the sunrise if you can!). Hotel is in very well kept gardens - thank you to all the gardening/maintenance and cleaning staff for all their hard work. Toilets modern and clean (one set ground floor near small arcade/shop, one set by lobby/lifts on first floor, one down steps next to Italian restaurant at far end of pool and also at the water park). Lagoon style pool was great - into 3 sections that flowed into each other with bridges over. Part nearest to hotel building went from ankle deep to 110cm, bit between the bridges up to 130cm (this is where they do the aqua fitness twice a day 11am and 3.30 - all ages and abilities welcome - lovely lady that runs it) and the latter part with a fountain in the middle is 140cm. There is a separate activity pool where they did water polo etc and another very shallow one with a sun shade for toddlers/babies. Music is played via unobtrusive small rock shaped speakers, so unless you are right by them is not particular noisy I don’t think. Waterpark has a lazy river and good slides plus a safari themed (up to age 12) bit with water jets and some not bad slides either! There is an also again a separate toddler shallow splash area with water jets. Lifeguards on site and were helpful and reasonable. There is the infinity pool at the bottom - 140cm I think down to ankle deep with the swim up bar. This is in the ‘Blue Zone’ which is supposed to be quiet - there is no music and no inflatables, so it is ‘quieter’ but don’t expect super quiet - as it is a family hotel it’s not that big a deal. We chose this area to sit on the sun loungers - there are grassy areas so you don’t have to be too close to others and can move loungers about under the trees to keep out of (or in) the sun as you wish. Plenty of sun beds still at 10.30 so no rush! Lifeguards start at 10 so prior to that very few if any people in the pool so is good if you want a quiet swim (I liked to do a few lengths of breast stroke as a bit of exercise each day!). We had a premium partial sea view with partition (block H so by blue zone overlooking infinity pool and sea). Room was modern and had everything we needed. The bedroom/bathroom layout is not conventional (on the website you can see room plans) but really didn’t impact on our stay one bit. Cleaned/mopped/sheets changed daily. 800ml bottles of water per person, same for cartons of juice and 2 cans of beer replenished daily. Bars - great cocktails made fresh (though also try the alcoholic slushies!) ,very prompt and friendly service at all bars and very kind and friendly to the children. I brought some plastic glasses on the strength of some people saying they were served drinks in paper cups but that never happened to me or my husband the whole time (only the kids drinks) so didn’t need those at all. Food - this is a big thing for us as my daughter

The hotel has many advantages for families with young children - the main one is the water park and the vast variety of swimming pools. Regarding food and drinks I believe there can be some improvements- drinks are local and are all unknown brands. The food is average. I would like to thank the front desk staff - cristos and Vicky for their warm hospitality, attention and care, they completely upgraded our stay with their help and patience

Second visit here, which is unusual as I always like to find new places to stay & see. Loved it so much the first time around I broke the golden rule. It’s difficult to know where to start, but it’s almost impossible to find fault here. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the food is outstanding. Buffet style, with two live cooking stations. The choices must run into a hundred at least. In nearly a month of being here in total, we have never had a bad meal. In all honesty I’ve paid good money at top quality restaurants & had worse food. The treatment spa has been fully refurbished over the winter. An amazing place, staff like everyone here are spot on. I have an hours massage today with one of the therapists Nikos. What a great guy & he certainly knows his stuff. I have been lucky to have had many a massage in my time, but that one was up there in the top three. As boring as it sounds I can’t pick fault with it at all. Aegean Blue, if you read this, keep a hold of that young man. He’s a real asset.

Atlantica Aegean Blue Resort is an ideal destination for those seeking a mix of relaxation and adventure in Rhodes. With its excellent amenities, superb service, and family-friendly atmosphere, it makes for a memorable stay. Whether you're lounging by the pool, indulging in delicious cuisine, or exploring the local area, this resort has something for everyone. A special highlight is the on-site spa, a sanctuary of relaxation offering a variety of treatments and therapies. The super skilled therapist Austeja made my session unforgettable—it felt like seven days of vacation packed into three hours. ❤️

One of the best all inclusive hotel i have been visited. The food, location and service was excellent. The area with all swiming pools was amazing both for the children and for adults. We really liked the concept and for us a perfect start of our holiday.

We came to the Aegean last April for our wedding - 43 of us in total. And everything was impeccable. From the comms before flying out, to setting up, the meal and everything in between. It was perfect. We decided to come back for our year anniversary - wedded couple with their 4 year old. And everyone we met last year have all remembered us! And all are all over our little boy Wyatt. From Dionisia (wedding planner), to Seva (the slushy lady) to the chef we met tonight in the Asian who was actually our chef at the wedding a year ago! All the restaurant and bar staff, the cleaners, the front of house, the porters and all the staff - I'm going to look so ignorant not knowing names .. It's a small community within Atlantica Aegean Blue - of some truly lovely people who do everything they can to make your stay(s) magical. We're already looking at coming back next year. Food - the Italian last night was remarkable BUT the Asian tonight really knocked our socks off. Some of the best food we've eaten has been in the last couple of days. TUI kids - Wyatt our little lad has loved it, although has been very quiet this week - at times being the only kid in there - but he loved it all the same. He's back in tomorrow before we set off home. He'll no doubt have a cry saying goodbye .. "DING DONG!" We stayed in a premium swim up - if anyone reading this is questioning if to do it or not, jump and do it. Having your own little pool in constant sun - especially with a kid - is bliss. We can decide if to go to the shared pools or stay in our own which is a blessing, letting littlun have a nap Anyways. Atlantica Aegean Blue. Yet again, remarkable. Yet again, memories made and yet again will be a tear in our eyes when we leave to go home. I bloody love it here!
