Goji Vegan Hotel

Giannis, Carly and Sakis gave us a very warm welcome at their vegan hotel. The food was home cooked and the ambiance was relaxing. It’s a short walk to the beach, shops and bars and car hire is easy and very reasonable if you want to visit Lindos and other attractions. We walked to Rhodes town which took around 1 hour and 40 minutes and got a taxi back. Rhodes historic town is very impressive and there are some lovely bars and restaurants there. We ate at Goji’s new sister hotel Acai and it was superb.

May 2024 review: 5 stars isn’t enough! I cannot recommend Goji highly enough - we had such an incredible week there! A few key things: - The room was spacious, comfortable, equipped with a small kitchenette and had a nice sized balcony. - The food was truly incredible. We enjoyed every single meal and were excited to try things we wouldn’t normally have. We got the cookbook the hotel produced and will definitely be making some of these in the future! - The location was great. A short walk takes you to supermarkets, shops and restaurants, as well as the beach. Bus services can take you into Rodos although note that they can get very busy so allow plenty of time to get to your destination! We also organised a coach trip to Lindos for €20 which picked us up very near the hotel! - The real highlight for me was the staff. They are such an asset to the hotel! Giannis, who runs the hotel was extremely welcoming and always available to answer questions! Alexandra, who worked the afternoon/dinner shift was so friendly and we really enjoyed getting to know her over the week! She also makes an amazing aperol spritz!! Aris, who worked the morning shifts was equally friendly and helpful. Mr Nikos worked on admin in the background and kept everything running smoothly. Mary kept our room clean and tidy each day and ensured our toiletries were topped up when needed. Last but not least, the furry friends of Goji… Sakis, the beautiful cockapoo was often around and was always excited to get cuddles. There were a number of stray cats around the hotel (and far more across the island), some of whom were very friendly and enjoyed having a stroke or two. In short, we had an incredible week at Goji Hotel and are already planning a return trip. Book - you won’t regret it!! Update May 2025 - I just returned home from my second visit to Goji and it was just as incredible as my first. The planning now begins for my third trip in 2026! Returning this year was so special. I was greeted by the Goji family so warmly and I truly felt at home in their beautiful hotel. It’s not common that you can stay at a hotel and really get to know the owners and staff - it’s just one of the many things that makes Goji special and it means you finish your stay having made some new Greek friends!

I came as a solo visitor and was a bit nervous about travelling abroad alone- but they made me feel so welcomed, safe, relaxed and catered for. My room was beautiful, large, clean, airy and minimalist which I loved. I had a gorgeous little balcony as well. I paid for half board and I’m so glad, the food was beautiful- breakfast was a delight every morning, it was all so fresh and vibrant and tasty, and dinners each evening were lovely. I got to sample Greek home cooking, with local dishes made vegan, so tasty and again so fresh. The pool is really great, clean and with sunbeds around it, and you can get drinks from the little bar as well as snacks throughout the day. Because it’s a small hotel it never felt crowded either. I liked the area, it’s quiet and mainly residential but a short walk to lovely beach, bars, shops and restaurants. Also a short taxi into Rhodes Old Town. Honestly this little family run hotel was fabulous, I loved every minute there!

We haven’t been to Greece for a decade or two and can remember Greek 3 star accommodation. So our bar was low in what to expect but the reviews looked good so we booked. All comms with Goji Hotel were friendly and helpful. They even organised a transfer from the airport for us. On arrival with the beautiful blue skies, we were welcomed with a smile and a welcome drink. Set in a residential area but less than 10 min walk to bars, shops, car/scooter hire and lots of restaurants. Our room (7) was clean, spacious with a balcony table & chairs. It had working air con, bathroom with shower over bath. We asked for more hangers and extra pillows which were quickly received. Their pillows are quite soft and I should remember to always pack my own. Breakfast and dinner was served by the friendly staff Yoda Aris or chatty Alex , next to the pool which was always relaxed and enjoyable. Pool was very clean and didn’t feel full of chemicals. When we stayed by the pool rather than walk to the beach, it was relaxing on the new beds, we enjoyed the cocktails and a few of the lunchtime snacks. I enjoyed speaking with other guests who were from Germany, Netherlands, UK and Israel. I could go into more detail but we will book again and were sad our week had ended. The whole week staying at the Goji certainly exceeded our expectations and we look forward to visiting next year.

We loved our stay at Goji! Rooms are stylish, and a great size with a small kitchenette and fridge, plus a tv that you can watch Netflix/Amazon Prime etc. Balcony was a good size too! The hotel is set in a residential area, but a short walk to the more touristy spot with plenty of bars/restaurants/shops etc. Being in a residential area means the hotel is so peaceful. The vibe is super chilled, which was ideal for us. No having to run down at 6am to put a towel on a sunbed here! The food was amazing - traditional Greek food with a vegan twist. My favourites were the bougatsa and the moussaka! Meals are served poolside, and it’s a lovely experience. Make sure to try the snacks and cocktails too - the nachos are amazing! The airport is about 10 mins away. Rhodes town is a 10-15 min taxi (around €20) or bus away. Finally, saving the best for last - the staff. I say staff, but it doesn’t feel like the right word. Aris and Alexandra made us feel like friends. Aris was around in the mornings, and chatted to us about the food and his family. Alex was there for the afternoon/evening, and her sense of humour was right up my street! They made our stay what it was, so a huge thank you to them ❤️ In short, vegan or not, you won’t regret your stay here ☺️

We have just returned from our second stay at Goji and had the same warm welcome from Giannis and all of the staff. We had a wonderful holiday; the hotel is lovely with a gorgeous pool and delicious food. It’s so good to be able to relax and enjoy vegan food without having to worry about it. We bought a copy of the new cookbook and have already tried out one of the recipes! The location is great for access to the beach and other amenities. We are looking forward to our next visit.
