We stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour. The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer. The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day. We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price.

If you spend the night in this city, it's a great hotel. The location is very good, the surroundings are very quiet, and there are very good restaurants nearby. If you had stayed here, you would not have chosen another hotel.

Plus: Very good hostel with its order and discipline. I liked breakfast, hot shower, the opportunity to buy skiffs cheaper, rent skis, heat food and teapot. Everything was convenient, understandable. Thank you. Wishments: For breakfast, cooked eggs would like to be. Skiing for rent would like more new. Minorities: Minus only one is location. Far from the city center. In 5 minutes walk there is a bus stop № 2. It goes to Le Tour. If you need, for example, to Les Houches, you will have to get to Shamoni Here and get on another bus. Or walk to the Pelerin station, but how to go in ski shoes? Other buses do not pass next to the hostel. At the same time, the carriage is paid. It takes a few times a day, because all the shops are in the city too, you have to buy food and come back. And the bus this goes 2 times an hour, I'm tired of waiting for it and adjusting under it.
