Simply idyllic. Our third stay. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Food was excellent with a good choice of locally sourced produce. We especially recommend the Welsh breakfast (like an English one but with the addition of cockles and lavabread - try it before you judge!) and the water buffalo burgers. Most of all the staff who are friendly and nothing is too much. Thanks so much for the team for hosting us again and putting up with our quirky sense of humour. Can't wait til we see you again.

Arrived late afternoon to be welcomed at reception by a very friendly member of staff, and shown to our rooms. King room ,very spacious ,well equipped with wardrobe , desk, easy chair, tea ,coffee facilities and fresh milk in the fridge. Large well equipped bathroom, over bath shower, shampoo and body wash provided, hairdryer in bed room drawer. Little courtyard area out front of room with garden tables and chairs ,ideal for our group of 8 friends to relax and have a few drinks. The pub and restaurant, were great. Large selection of ales ,lagers ,wines and spirits, Quite an extensive menu and always specials available and reasonable prices. Rear patio area and front patio has plenty of seats to enjoy the sun. It is also ideally positioned to visit the many attractions on the Gower peninsula and surrounding areas. Staff were all so welcoming and friendly and are a credit to the business. Thankyou for a wonderful stay, we look forward to visiting again. The Group of Eight

We were away for two days walking with our dog and stayed at the inn. The room was good, nothing special but perfect when travelling with a dog. We also enjoyed the food ( both dinner and breakfast). What made it such a lovely stay was the welcome for us and particularly our dog. Most places say they are dog friendly but the hospitality they showed went over and above. Treats and even a sausage for breakfast. We will return. Thank you.

We had a lovely weekend away here, the rooms were lovely, warm and comfortable with beautiful views of the countryside and the fresh milk for tea and coffee was a nice touch. We booked dinner for the night and the food was delicious and we were lucky to have booked on Saint Davids Day where we had a night with Welsh music and a half time quiz. It made our family celebration even more enjoyable. All the staff were lovely and very helpful and a secial mention to Rebecca wfor all the hlp with booking. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.

This was the second visit to the Kings Head. The first being 9 years ago. It has really large rooms a comfortable king size bed. The bathroom had a luxuriously long and deep bath with a shower overhead. The rooms are across the car park from the inn which makes it quiet for a good nights sleep. They are VERY dog friendly, with a dog section on the restaurant menu. Each dog is treated like a special guest with some of the staff carrying treats in their pockets! They are all given a sausage for breakfast. Our dog decided life was far nicer eating sausages rather than the food we had brought with us! There is an extensive evening meal and breakfast menu catering for most needs (including vegetarian and vegan). I can recommend the Warrior dark bitter; I don’t usually drink bitter but after tasting my husband’s drink had to have my own. The first night I had a sticky toffee pudding after my meal and was disappointed with myself because I could only eat a half of it, a substantial and delicious dessert. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and I am sure we will be back again (hopefully we won’t leave it 9 years this time)

Last minute booking for in between Christmas and New year . Lovely place to stay with our 2 Labradors. Can't find fault with anything other than our stay just wasn't long enough. Rooms are clean, comfy, warm and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious, our Labs just loved their breakfast sausages ! We ate there both nights and the food didn't disappoint and was great value. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Gower is a beautiful place to visit and the Kings Head was the icing on the cake for us. We shall return.

Visited for weekend with friends. The Kings had a Tom Jones tribute act with 3 course meal included. It was such a great night and the food was delicious. Breakfast is good with great choice, we eat on the 2nd night, very busy. Lots of choice with generous portions. Good choice of ales too for the beer lovers. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, underfloor heating lovely. The location is wonderful, walk to magnificent Rhossili, with lovely circular walks. The rooms are designed(we think) to cater for those visitors who are serious walkers, surfers, swimmers and dog owners alike. We think they’ve got it just right! Staff are warm, welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Fantastic thank you just what we needed.

When we booked only a family room was available. This had a double bed and two single beds. But oddly only there was one chair! The room was clean but definitely not luxurious. The bathroom was large with an overhead shower but quite basic. There was milk provided for tea but no bottled water. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We ate at the restaurant for our evening meal. We pre-booked meals and ate in the main restaurant on the first night but were placed in a rather sparse adjacent room on the second night. Even though we pre-booked our meals we had to queue for 5-10 minutes to prepay for our meals. The first night I had cod and chips. This was ok except the fish was very hard in the middle-possibly it had been cooked from frozen fish. The next day I had a well done steak which was great. My wife complained that her steak was tough and she left most of it. But no action was taken. The best feature of our stay was the staff who were friendly and very helpful.
