Wonderful experience, which I highly recommend. All possible amenities available. Indoor pool and gym open 24 hours, glass of port wine as a welcome drink, friendly staff :)

By the looks of it, it was going to be a great stay.
However, it is a very commercial hotel, not focused on what a 5-star hotel is where we can count on the best service.
I don't recommend it, especially dinner.
Lack of professionalism and an excessive price relative to the wines. There are many options in the Douro, but I don't recommend this one.

Great facilities. We went with half board. And it doesn't pay off. After knowing the prices, we would have paid less for dinner if we paid on the day.
We went on the weekend and the hotel was full. It's a large hotel and we didn't like the experience from that point of view.
The objective is to relax and have a different experience, but we ended up having to wait to enter the Turkish bath, sauna and swimming pools, which became unfeasible, as they looked like municipal swimming pools.

Good breakfast! The spa space is good but with a lot of people it gets small. We also went on a weekend when a lot of people were on vacation. We only regret that they didn't show any interest in getting a vegan option for dinner when we asked at reception if they had vegan options. Even after we saw on the menu that there are vegan options…
