Hilton Vancouver Airport

The room has a platform outside with no view whatsoever, completely different from the pictures. Both windows were blocked, and the facilities were old. The light switches were so hidden it took ages to find them. I even found a contact lens in the room.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The front desk staff were very courteous and understanding, and tried their best to accommodate our requests. They managed to arrange two rooms on the same floor for our group of five. For a star-rated hotel, it was a minor inconvenience that toiletries like shower gel had to be requested and weren't automatically refilled. Also, one day after housekeeping, the room door was left ajar (propped open with the security latch, which I didn't notice). I believe this was an isolated incident, and fortunately, we didn't lose any valuables, so security seems generally good. As the hotel is close to the airport, there was noise from cargo planes taking off and landing throughout the night.

The room is larger than typical hotel rooms, and having a separate bedroom is a plus. It's clean, and the service is good. There's a free shuttle bus to the airport. The bathroom in this room type has been newly renovated. However, the sofa bed is terrible – very soft, thin, and bouncy, completely unusable. Luckily, the front desk arranged an extra bed, which was a normal foldable bed and comfortable enough to sleep on.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's very close to the airport, and many airline crew members stay here too. Richmond is essentially a Chinese community, so dining and shopping are very convenient. There's a parking lot, which costs money, but it's not expensive. The surrounding area is full of Chinese restaurants and people, which is super convenient.

The hotel's location is extremely convenient, whether for transportation, dining, or shopping.

It would be even better if there was a kettle. Everything else was fine.
