Clayton Hotel, Manchester Airport Reviews

I stayed at Clayton Hotel Manchester with my family for one night on 01 August 2026, and we had a truly pleasant experience. The room had a good layout, was clean, comfortable, and perfectly prepared for a family stay. The overall environment felt fresh, quiet, and well‑maintained, which helped us relax after a long journey. The location is excellent, very close to Manchester Airport and the train station, making travel extremely convenient. The hotel also provides a shuttle service both ways from the airport and train station. The transport in charge was very helpful, assisting with our luggage and handling everything with extra care during drop‑off at the airport. This thoughtful service was truly appreciated. I would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming hotel in Manchester.

5 days sight seeing visited museums and canal cruise, went to across bridge by train to Malmo visited old Castle/ museum . Good weather too.

Very helpful staff. Good bar with a wide choice of options for evening meal at a fair price. Room was excellent - upgraded to executive room on 8th floor. Very quiet. Handy for the train station and a free bus to the terminals. Thank you!

Great location for terminal 2. Shuttle bus collected us from train station within 10 minutes of phoning hotel.

First time staying here before flying the next day. Not far from the mid stay car park, didn’t eat as we got here late, however did get a drink in the bar and was very efficient. Bed was comfy.

Very close to the airport, just a few minutes' drive away. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Terminals T2 and T3, running every 20 minutes. You can board right outside the hotel lobby, which is very convenient if you have a flight. The twin room had two large beds, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, so you might want to consider that depending on the weather.

We always enjoy staying here as we get picked up at the railway station and taken to the airport. Room is always great and the food when we eat. Staff are great and helpful and we get a good nights sleep

We felt disappointed with this hotel. You can't argue with the location but the experience overall was not good. We requested a room away from the lifts, our room was the closest possible room to the lift. We arrived for check-in and heard how the people in front of us got an upgraded room at no charge as they had stayed before but we were given the most basic customer service, it was literally 'here's your key' no questions no interest (if he had asked he would have known it was our proposal trip). The ceiling outside our room had a huge hole causing a draft (see photo). There was a fridge and a baby cot stored outside our room. There was a lot of mould in the bathroom which I wouldn't expect in a hotel. The tv was dusty and not pat tested which is concerning. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. The bed base was ripped in parts and there was stains on the carpet. Overall this isnt what we would expect for the price or the level of use this hotel must have. We are looking for a hotel for another trip in 9 days and really feel reluctant to book this hotel again.

Hotel is very near to the airport and is very convenient for overnight stay or transit flight

Lovely stay ,very clean and comfy, Food was also lovely and was very easy to order and bought to the room . Would stay again .

Hotel ok self service wouldn’t recognise the booking. Had to queue. Bed hard and creaked and moved not great Bathroom sink not draining properly
