Popular Rio de Janeiro 4-star Hotels

I stayed here with 4 friends and this hotel perfectly suited our needs. We stayed in an executive room with a small balcony. You could see Copacabana beach which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice for vegetarians and meat eaters. Lovely fresh fruit and a delicious walnut bread. We did not eat here for dinner so couldn't comment on that. Location was perfect, eateries and bars nearby if you do not want to venture far. Beach literally a 2 minute walk away. The rooftop pool was small but enough for you to cool off and sip a cocktail or two by. The station was close as well as Ipanema, sugar loaf and CTR. I would say this is not a luxury hotel, but more than suited our needs for a girlie week away In the sun. PLEASE - hooks in the bathroom, an iron board and tea facilities in room would be great. SHOUT OUT - to Leonardo, Marina and the other receptionist wearing glasses plus all the breakfast staff. You were all excellent and helped to make our stay enjoyable.

Even before I enter the hotel they stop me to check my temperature. Distant check in is the norm at this hotel which, was great to see. Hand sanitizer throughout the hotel. The staff was cleaning consistently. At breakfast everything was wrapped in plastic on the table. The waiters brought a tray of food all wrapped in plastic from which to choose from. The selection was great. And the service was outstanding. The front desk staff was very helpful.

I only have positive words for the stay at Novotel Leme. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice, the service is great, breakfast is delicious, versatile and extensive, the rooftop bar Sky Leme is a very nice place with a magnificent view and a nice pool. I appreciated the cocktails. So many thanks to all the staff to make our stay a great experience every day! Special thanks to Vicente for his friendly attention.

The hotel is in a very good location , 15 min walking from the beach. Nearby the bridge, so we didn’t need to use the ferry boat to cross the river or walk long distances. Barra da Tijuca is perfect , the best beach ! Later we went to Copacabana but we regret don’t staying longer in Barra da Tijuca as we liked it more than Copacabana, the beach is cleaner, less people, more quiet .

The location is super good, right next to the Marriott Hotel. The door is Copacabana beach. The breakfast is very good, rich, and the wifi signal is good. Especially amazing is the swimming pool on the 15th floor, invincible sea views, can shoot very beautiful night views, hotel facilities in general, rooms are a bit small, we set There are three beds in the double room, and the child may have urinated on the bed. The smell of diarrhea is very big. He changed rooms, and the hygiene is normal. The new check-in is because the hair in the bathroom has not been cleaned. Late, but only on the first day there is a bottle of free bottled water, breakfast meals can not be packed in advance, there is a small supermarket behind the hotel, overall recommended stay, you can score four points

What does it feel like when you come back home, where everyone knows your name, is always available for whatever queries and needs and where you feel you belong? After many stays at Grand Mercure, prior to and during the revamping, this is indeed home for me! A taxi from Santos Dumont airport takes some 20-25min and costs less than 50 reais. Don't accept to pay more than 100 reais taking a taxi from the international airport, there are many crooks there! On the metre and with no traffic, the ride shall be around 80 reais; on weekdays and before 9, heavy traffic into town may raise the cost. Bear in mind that only in Rio taxis are allowed to charge per item of luggage, 3 reais a piece. Also, make sure to inform the driver that the entrance is at Souza Lima 48 (side street), not at Atlântica. The hotel consists of three blocks, B and C are ready and A, the one with frontal view, is to be inaugurated in less than a year's time, so we hope! That's where the pool is, on the top floor, that's why the hotel doesn't offer one for the moment, but the beach service is available at no cost. A ramp for wheelchairs and to roll luggage is missing but that is the only con in the ample and welcoming reception. Felipe, Lucas, Ellen and Patrícia do a splendid job there, always with a genuine smile and readiness to any guests' needs. There are different room categories, each found in one block or the other an each with their specificities - make sure to read the details properly and choose the one which suits you, to avoid useless discussions at front desk. The hotel is constantly full, therefore changes aren't as simple and one must stick to what was chosen and booked! The higher in block C, the better, and make sure to get a room with an even ending, so you can wake up with the most magnificent sunset! Rooms are welcoming and spacious but I still miss an armchair and a better working table; having to shift furniture every time is annoying, the interior designer didn't really take that into account. Amenities are of good quality, water heats up quickly (no waste), the shower is powerful enough. Internet works everywhere, including in the smoking zone on the sidewalk. By the way, why not have a tap outdoors, so beachgoers can wash the sand off their feet before entering reception? Breakfast is improvised on the 2nd floor as a result of the build work, one needs to have understanding. In terms of variety, it is indeed plentiful there, with juices, hot dishes, cakes/breads, cheeses, cold cuts and a specific corner for those with some restriction. Danielle, Ana Luz and Nilson shall pamper you with a smile al the time! Banks, supermarkets, shops of all kinds, chemist's, restaurants and all sort of facilities are within walking distance; also you can take the bus to most attractions, the nearest tube station is some 10min away. Dark hotel. Elevator without ventilation Precarious breakfast. The waiter takes your options to the table. Omelet and scrambled egg impossible to eat because of so much oil. And a fee of 160.00 was charged that was not on the reservation. They said it was from booking.com

Hotel is very well located in front of the Atlatica avenue. the room itself is perfect. the bed is perfect and extremely confort. The crew are excellent, they really wants to serv you....i specially thank to Beatriz (attendent), Van Carlos (concierge) and super-sympatic Antonio at the front bar. The TV cable channels are very good. the crew speaks preaty well more than one language. What they could improve? 1 - the check-in process and queue speed. The wi-fi signal into the rooms. The window allows some external noise to come into the room and the breakfast itens variaty can be reviewed. I definetely recommend Othon palace hotel and I would consider it on my next Rio de janeiro visit for sure.

I left disappointed even tho I had to extend a few time due to the fact that most of the hotels were occupied since it was carnival time. I strongly believe that they could have been more prepaid for the amount of guests and provide more of comfort. They charged for water in the room, I think it should be complementary always. There was a place for a fridge, but no fringe whatsoever. The room was really small and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The lights are too dimmed in the hall that gives you an impression that you’re in a club or something. The staff was friendly and helpful however I would not stay there again. Maybe it’s because of the carnival, normally I would want to believe they do their job much better. For me what was important: Restaurant: I could have dinner at the hotel always: you just pay 45R$ entrance to dining area and you can serve yourself with the buffet fresh made food. I enjoyed this option so much. Location: was very nice, subway is in 10 minutes walk, the Pyramid is in walking distance as well as museum of future and downtown. The beaches are very far, so you should take a taxi or metro. Pool/rooftop: none 🥲

I was hosted in this hotel last weekend - 02 to 03/07/2022. I have contacted me, and Mrs Vanessa has answered me, she kept the forgotten pieces, and the next day she sent me for Sedex with great delight and sympathy, and I would like to congratulate her on the sensitivity and empathy shown by that person. All the staff very careful and efficient.
