Ski Access: The accommodation offers excellent ski-in/ski-out access, making it convenient for skiers.

We had a fantastic week in Risoul and the hotel accommodation contributed to that. We are 2 adults and 2 teenage girls and we wanted the extra space in the room that a hotel doesn't often provide. Our girls wanted some privacy so the apartment worked perfectly. The apartment was modern, spacious and comfortable. We were very impressed with it. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living/dining area had a nice sofa and fire. Our only issue with the apartment was that there was only one toilet and there was no sink with it for washing hands. Not a big deal but a bit strange. The ski in/out was a big plus and the ski locker in the hotel was a good size for 4 people. Do be wary though that the drag lift from outside the hotel is probably not suitable for complete beginners. Location was good as it was close enough to the village (although a walk uphill to get back) and a Spar but far enough away from the lively student blocks. My wife had a massage in the spa and said it was one of the best she has ever had! However, one of the key reasons we booked this aparthotel was for the pool as we like to relax in it after a day's skiing. I had read reviews when I was booking that complained the pool was too cold. I thought the reviewers were just being fussy/awkward, but they were right. We planned to use it every day but didnt go back in after the first time. The outdoor hammam was nice but was always busy and often with young children wanting to play around when you just want to relax. Sauna and steam both good. Two other things to be wary of: 1. The the reception is not 24/7. This didn't affect us at all but might impact others. Reception staff were generally friendly and helpful. Staff dong afternoon entertainment and 'Grand Retour' only spoke in French. 2. There is no cleaning of the apartment or fresh towels during the week, and you need to buy your own replacement bin bags and toilet rolls. Overall, we loved our stay. Would give 9/10, dropping 1 mark due to pool and lack of cleaning room/replacing towels and toilet rolls, but if scoring out of 5 would have to go to 4/5 instead of 5/5.

We had a great stay in the residence which has an easy access to the ski ressort if enough snow. We were welcomes with a lot of kindness and a big smile by Léa at the reception who helped us at our arrival and during our stay. The only negative points is that they promote premium apartment, which we had, with an exceptional view in MMV's communication and our view was on a parking lot which is not so pleasant when you know that there is an exceptional view on the other side of the building!! The view on the montains is one of the thing I enjoy most when on snow holliday so that was really disapointing for me and that is the reason I do not put 5 stars.
