Wow! Where do I even begin? Our visit to Misfah Al Abriyyin simply would not have been the same had we stayed anywhere but Basmat Al Misfah Guesthouse. From the moment we booked until after departing even, the owner (Ahmed) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. From coordinating vegetarian meals to accommodate our diet, to giving us a tour of his farm with fresh figs, lemons, and papaya to take with us, to endless helpful recommendations for nearby activities and sites, we were truly blown away by his kindness. The guesthouse itself is lovely, perched up on a hill with a patio for breakfasts and dinners, or simply to hang out whenever you'd like. Ahmed also owns and operates a honey shop next door where you can sample and buy a range of his natural products, including our newly found favorites: date syrup and frankincense honey. They are the perfect memento of your visit or gifts for loved ones! Our room was charming and comfortable, with a decent mattress, great pillows, fresh towels, a mini fridge, and powerful air conditioning to combat the Omani summer heat. We also appreciated the easy parking adjacent to the property. If you are looking to visit Misfah Al Abriyyin, do not miss Ahmed's place!
