Comfortable and Modern Stay I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The design was simple yet modern, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The room was well-maintained, featuring a spacious and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, adding to the overall comfort. A great choice for a straightforward and enjoyable stay!

They say they do the basics well and everything else is a bonus, and I'd agree. The room was bigger than I expected, with a full size shower. Single bed was surprisingly comfortable, heating easy to work, room clean and quiet despite being the first on the corridor next to a main access door. Breakfast was a simple bacon or sausage roll, with a tea or coffee- don't expect the usual Premier Inn buffet- but it was available to eat in or take away, which is handy for those who need to be on the road early. Check out is at midday, which is lovely and late compared to a lot of hotels. Free parking in a secure car park (barrier in, you have to enter a code to get back out.) It's simple, cheap and cosy, but definitely a better option than a hostel or similarly priced B&B!

ZIP by Premier Inn is at the rear of a multi-complex of buildings and is made fairly easy to find by prominent red signs throughout the car parks. The hotel has steps and an access ramp. A member of the team welcomed me with a smile as soon as I arrived at reception. They explained where my room was and about features of the hotel, listening to any concerns and inviting me to come and ask if there was anything at all I needed. This proved true to form when they went to great lengths to help me with accessing WiFi on my phone. A menu in my room was convenient. Meals (if eating in) were delicious and served hot; and the bar was run smoothly. The room was cosy, reminding me of an ensuite cabin, a small private place of my own providing an excellent base to come and go from at anytime, always meeting a cheerful face on the front desk. The shower was strong and the air conditioning efficient; the bed very comfortable with a bedside table; power points and charging ports were handily located; the lighting amazing. Again, the team were always hardworking, cheerful, co-operative with other members, and each one went the second mile to be helpful. This makes all the difference when away from home. As a solo independent traveller I thoroughly enjoy staying at ZIP when I’m in Cardiff and would recommend the experience to others whether on their own, there for business, or with friends/family.

Does what it says on the tin. Good place if you're just looking for a base and bed for the night. One towel provided, comfy bed and a light box that works well to mimic daylight once you get to grips with it. Unfortunately if you're there longer than a night or two, the room doesn't get turned down, so you may end up having to ask for more toilet roll or shower gel. Tea and coffee are also not provided or complimentary, but the bar does allow you to use plates and cutlery if you bring your own food in.

Clean room, easy access to city centre via bus or Uber. 15 minute trip. Bar’s was reasonably priced, car parking was easy with loads of spaces, food was basic in choice but done well, good bacon roll on in the morning and good coffee. Will be back again.

I stay here regularly for work. It's got everything I need and it's great value. The rooms are clean and comfy and there's a nice lounge area to work in. There are plenty of parking spaces too and shops etc nearby for food. Would definitely recommend.
