The George Hotel ★★★
"This hotel is well situated on the Main Street in Battle. It has a carpark but it is small and quite awkward to use especially at night as there is very little lighting and space to manoeuvre . It seems to be empty most of the day but quickly fills up late afternoon to early evening. The hotel itself is quite old and a little shabby in places. There is no lift and the long, winding staircase looks lovely but is difficult to navigate if you have mobility problems. There appears to be no ground floor rooms. We chose to “up grade” to a superior room, but it was still very basic and a bit rough and ready round the edges. The bathroom was large and the walk in shower was big. The sink was cracked. The room itself was fairly comfortable, but I would not have liked a standard room judging by the quality of a superior room. That being said it was very inexpensive and “did the job”. There was a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities along with biscuits and toiletries in the bathroom. There is no restaurant serving breakfast but there is an Italian restaurant attached (obviously once the dining room for the hotel). Ideal for anyone on a tight budget and very convenient for visiting the town and historic surroundings."
The Cavendish Hotel Eastbourne ★★★
"Nice location good views, and the atmosphere from people is fabulous"
Majestic Hotel Eastbourne by Belvilla ★★★★
"The room is decent and clean. A little bit far from the station, around 20 minute walk but the price is good especially for solo travel."
Flackley Ash Country House Hotel ★★★
"Staff was very lovely. Location was perfect lots to do if you have a car Daniel the manager was lovely recommended us nice beaches to visit . We came for a weekend of relaxation and we ended up leaving feeling relaxed . So thank you to the lovely staff"
Pearl & Pebbles Eastbourne ★★★
"family trip to seven sisters cliff. Hotel is in eastbourne town and near the beach. It is very and clean and the staff is nice."
Dale Hill Hotel ★★★★
"The location and the gold club are stunning. The bed was very comfortable and the room new. However, the staff was very unhelpful and unwelcoming. They couldn’t help with taxi booking, they didn’t accommodate an early check-in request even thought it was given over 2 months in advance. The request for a quiet room resulted in one where there were groups of men practicing golf right in front of the balcony."
