Romantic Hotels in Zhangjiakou

Objectively speaking, the transportation is relatively convenient, but the supporting facilities are limited. While there aren't any particularly dirty areas, the facilities are rather basic and quite different from the advertised Swiss style. Having stayed at a hotel built in a nearby country the day before, I could make a more objective comparison, and this hotel really doesn't justify the price. However, it's not exceptionally bad. The cafeteria, on the other hand, is quite good.

For a ski trip to Genting, I highly recommend staying at Genting Residences. You can literally ski in and out of the resort, which is incredibly convenient. After a short ski, you're right at the cable car, saving you a lot of hassle with driving or walking – a huge time-saver! Just a little further down, you'll find the Genting Ski Resort lobby and the Genting Grand Hotel, making dining and shopping super easy. When you're tired from skiing, coming back and relaxing on the balcony in the sun is just pure bliss. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, and the underfloor heating is wonderfully comfortable. Having stayed in at least a dozen ski-in/ski-out hotels, Genting Residences is my absolute top pick. This is the kind of quality accommodation every skier deserves.

The hardware was decent, but the software and service were terrible. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in in over 20 years. Please avoid this place! First, the parking lot is a one-way street. I had to go around in a huge circle to get in. Following the navigation, the old man at another entrance told me my car wouldn't reach the hotel entrance; even after parking, I had to walk a bit further because of stone blocks blocking the way. So I had to go around in circles until I finally got through. Then, I couldn't get into the parking lot at all because the parking sensor was angled very tricky, forming a 90-degree angle with the oncoming traffic. I had to straighten the car to be directly in front of the sensor, but after straightening it, a group of people passed by, and the parking barrier suddenly rose while they were passing, then fell back down the instant they were over, and then wouldn't open again, no matter how I aligned it. I had no choice but to go inside the hotel to find the front desk. The receptionist took out a remote control, pressed buttons for a long time, and said, ”This isn't my responsibility; it's another parking company's problem. I don't know if it'll even work.” Then my family honked the car horn to say the barrier was open. Seeing the rickety barrier swaying and seemingly about to fall down on its own, I floored the gas and sped into the parking lot. Upon entering the hotel and getting off the elevator, I discovered the fourth-floor lobby was completely dark. I had no idea which way to go, and I couldn't see the room signs. I had to walk a few steps and follow the light to find that I was actually on the right track. The hotel curtains were all drawn. The conditions seemed decent, and I thought it was quite nice. However, I woke up feeling cold in the middle of the night, and I didn't know why. Later in the morning, I discovered that the two windows behind the curtains were open. Who would expect a hotel to draw the curtains and then leave the windows open? After getting into the room, I tried to watch TV, but while the TV itself turned on, the set-top box wouldn't. I looked left and right, completely baffled. Upon closer inspection, I realized the HDMI cable was broken. Someone had pulled it, and the hotel hadn't fixed it; it was just hanging there. With no signal, there were no programs. Then, the shower was truly awful. Water would pool under your feet in the shower area, and then seep out little by little under the shower curb, flowing down to the floor near the toilet and then to the drain next to it. The bathroom's design was flawed from the start; it should have tilted towards the shower, but it tilted in the opposite direction. Another bizarre thing is that the smart toilet seat doesn't lift itself. As soon as you let go, the seat falls down on its own. Men have to hold the seat with one hand when urinating. Otherwise, you can imagine the consequences. Finally, I have to complain about how the toilet got clogged before I even used it much. I discovered it was clogged when I went to the toilet this morning; it was just so obviously clogged. I called the front desk, and they said there was a plunger downstairs, and I could come down and use it myself. When I got downstairs, the receptionist told me, ”Oh dear, the cleaning staff hasn't started work yet. It's only a little past 6 o'clock. Otherwise, you can use the public restrooms on each floor—there are some on the 2nd, 1st, and 6th floors. The cleaning staff will come after 8 o'clock to unclog your toilet.” Later, my family called and said it wasn't necessary; they had already found someone. After four or five flushes, the toilet was finally unclogged. When I got back, the barely perceptible flush was so weak it was practically impossible for it not to be clogged. Conclusion: I'm never coming back. Please avoid this place.

I didn’t care about it in summer. I didn’t expect the prairie in autumn to be too beautiful. There are small fruits in the hotel yard. The children pick it for a long time. The staff are very polite and take the initiative to say hello. The service is also good. I will come back next year.

The overall environment is very good, the room is clean and tidy, the lighting is good, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the bed is very stable, the front desk service is warm and thoughtful, the check-in and check-out efficiency is high, the staff is gentle and polite, the response is timely, the surrounding travel is very convenient, the overall price is very high, Highly recommended, will come again next time.

The hotel we booked has a pretty good location, right next to Fulong Ski Resort. You can park right at the hotel entrance. The hotel breakfast is decent, and there were a lot of kids from outside here for mountain biking, seemed like there was a competition going on. The front desk had a lovely young lady, I think her last name was Li, who provided excellent service. The charming young man working with her also left a good impression on us.
