Hotel Il Cantico St. Peter

I booked this hotel because I needed to catch a train at St. Peter's train station; it's a 5-minute walk away. Overall, the transportation isn't very convenient. The breakfast was okay, and the front desk staff were also alright.

Excellent location, quiet area, convenient garage, fair price, friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

The location is excellent. Just a short walk from St. Peter's Square and the Basilica. A 2-minute walk away is the bus stop for anywhere in the city and points of interest. The hotel itself is good with interesting common areas, however the room and hygiene leave much to be desired, especially in the bathroom. There is mold in the shower and sink joints, rust on the shower structures, sink, floor and walls. The bathroom fan is scary just to look at, full of dust, fungi and mold. The bed is very uncomfortable, so hard that your body gets squashed. The breakfast is ok, there is no variety, but it's enough to eat. The hotel is only worth it for the location, very close to St. Peter's Basilica and the St. Peter's bus and train station, in a safe area.
