What an equistive hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive and couldn't do enough for you. They were brilliant when our pre paid transfer didn't arrive, and they worked tirelessly to get us transport so we arrived at the airport on time. Our room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Location was great too, being close to the Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain.

I almost gave it only three stars but the service was very good! Decor is beautiful, but some choices lean towards appearance versus efficiency. Shower system is so unintuitive that the receptionist accompanies the guests to their room in order to explain how to use it. Water pressure isn’t strong but adequate enough. The shower area is stark and there is a niche where one might place toiletries, but the toiletries containers are too big to place in the niche, so they have to be placed on the floor. No body shower gell is provided. Toilet flushing is too strong, splashing the toilet seat. Bidet is tricky. Both my husband, who’s an engineer and another guest were trying to figure it out. Slippers are provided but bathrobes incur an additional charge, which left me surprised. When I questioned that practice (we’ve been traveling for 45 years and have never heard of charging for bathrobes), the concierge was kind enough to supply us with the robes, which we truly appreciated. The bed was heavenly as well as the beddings. Very nice balcony. The breakfast area is comfortable and the service and food quality is good, but what they call guacamole is a distant relative of the original. April, who is responsible for the breakfast was kind enough to modify it for me. She was extremely attentive and eager to help. I’d give her a ten. The patio attached to the breakfast area is beautiful and comfortable. It was a pleasure sitting there, chatting and drinking. All in all, a good location with a unique look, very accommodating service but too many quirks that can be frustrating.

Extraordinary property on the Via Gesù on a quiet street but within walking distance of everything. Highly attentive service and the food at breakfast was delicious - fabulous coffee! Nicole and her team managed our every need; restaurant reservations, museum tickets and more. The entire team was tireless in making our stay comfortable.

A truly lovely hotel. My wife and I stayed here for three nights in early April and from beginning to end, it was great, an altogether classy experience. That being said, our shower could have used an upgrade and a few small design choices in the room let it down a little. Eg. Toiletries provided were too large for the shelf in the shower, positioning of the television meant it was really awkward to make coffee, no way of using the toilet during the night without lighting up the sleeping area. Those minor annoyances would have usually been enough for me to mark it down a little, but it speaks to the strength of everything else about this hotel that I still happily give it top marks, I would certainly stay here again and will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Rome. Every staff member provided truly excellent service, the building is beautiful, the location is great and the bed and pillows were amongst the most comfy I have ever had in a hotel. A great place, it’s now one of my favourite hotels.

We really thought this hotel was great and had even told them as much an hour or so prior, so one can imagine our surprise when we went for a quick evening meal and returned to find an employee and FOUR other women standing at our open door to the room, one of them apparently the owner. She sheepishly explained she was “ just checking our room” ( we had checked in only 6 hours before…), closed the door and she and her friends quickly went down the stairs. Flabbergasted, we called her to ask what was going on, where she told us that this was normal practice and she checks the rooms “every night for damages” and to empty the bin and this was “ just a coincidence …“. Would you have checked the room if we had been there at the time?? We think not. The fact that four other women, including the owner, happened to be in our room when we exited the lift is a complete violation of trust and no amount of squirming will convince me that this is normal practice, or indeed the truth. Nothing was taken, nor is there any accusation of such. However the body language of these women smacked of awkwardness because we happened to catch them there… If it was done in good faith why did your staff member not empty the bin, the reason we were given for 5 people in our room? The bin had not even been emptied. Ultimately we were told we’d have to “ agree to disagree” as though having an employee, the owner and three buddies in our room was somehow OK to her. Not even an apology, not that that would have made things better, only that she “ was sorry we felt like this”. Really??!!! The Poesis Experience. But not in a good way. Looking for professional behaviour befitting the €720 per night we have paid? Look elsewhere. This, clearly, is NOT that kind of hotel. And regardless of any excuses or weasel words written below this review, should they respond, bottom line they were caught red handed in our room, doing who knows what… What started out so well, in a really beautiful hotel, was so sadly ruined, leaving both my wife and I shocked, disappointed and violated. The hotel operates an “ honesty bar” where you help yourself and write your name and room number, to settle on your departure, with Poesis trusting you’ll do the right thing…. The irony is palpable.

Situated perfectly in the heart of the city, it offers top-notch facilities, spacious and luxurious rooms, and an amazing rooftop terrace with the best breakfast in town. But what really stands out is the unbelievable service. The staff is truly exceptional, always ready to assist with anything you need, making your stay one-of-a-kind. Whether you're out exploring or just hanging out in the lounge, Poēsis is the ultimate place for a relaxing getaway.

A great experience. Room fantastic. Hotel Fantastic. Breakfast amazing. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Thank you for making a significant birthday very special. The rooftop terrace is a great place to relax after a seeing the sights. If you are looking for a small boutique hotel to enjoy Rome then this is the one.

As of Jan 2024… - FABULOUS ! I have seen several hotels in Rome and many are very ‘ornate’ & traditional… and very dated - NOT THIS. Poesis is charming, clean, and clever! It’s a streamlined boutique hotel with lovely design & style just a block from Rome’s shopping energy. We met the owner as we checked out - the whole staff were super sweet and attentive! We scored a low off season rate - and it was a total treat! If you want a departure to a more interesting, modern design- pick this. It’s a win! Loved it! Happy Travels.
