AVOID THIS HOTEL – we had BED BUGS in our bed and no response from management.. We had a very disturbing experience at this hotel and strongly advise others to stay elsewhere. During our stay last Sunday night, my friend and I woke up around midnight with intense itching. When we checked the bed, we found what appeared to be bed bugs. We took photos of the insects and the bites, and reported everything to reception immediately. The photos were also shown to the receptionist the following morning. At around 1:00 AM, we were forced to change rooms in the middle of the night. Despite larger rooms appearing available online, we were told only a smaller room was available. The replacement room was not properly prepared for two people—we had to wait for an extra mattress, and one of us had to sleep on the floor in a cramped space. The situation was extremely stressful, uncomfortable, and unacceptable. To make matters worse, I continued to suffer from itching even after leaving the hotel. Since then, we have contacted the hotel multiple times by email and received no response whatsoever. This lack of accountability is deeply disappointing. A hotel that exposes guests to bed bugs and then ignores follow-up complaints is not taking basic hygiene or customer care seriously. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I immediately felt unsafe as there were quite a few loiterers near the hotel building entrance. The hotel reception is located on the 4th floor of a very old, run-down building, making late-night check-in a daunting experience, particularly for female travelers. Fortunately, the initial staff member who checked us in, and also Assi who took the late-night shift, was warm, reassuring, and helpful. Unfortunately, my experience with another front desk staff member, Alvin, was completely unacceptable. He was rude, talked over me, and aggressively pointed fingers—blaming me for every issue I raised. For instance, when I expressed surprise that the bed had only a single sheet and no proper blanket or duvet, he dismissively claimed it was because I "didn't ask for one." A hospitality employee should never treat guests this way. Beyond the poor service from Alvin, the room itself fell far short of basic standards: • Subpar Bedding & Space: The bed lacked a proper blanket or cover, and there was virtually no counter space for personal belongings. • Lack of Outlets: I could only locate a single functional electrical outlet in the entire room. I cannot recommend this hotel, especially to female or solo travelers seeking basic comfort, safety, and decent service.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Scott House. The hotel was clean, comfortable and offered everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was smooth from arrival to departure. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable place to stay.

The room facilities were outdated; the shower screen couldn't be closed properly, causing water to splash out, and the drain was clogged and smelly. There was an unpleasant odor in the room, the air conditioning didn't work, and the room was particularly noisy due to its street view. However, after requesting a room change, the situation improved significantly. No toothbrush, toothpaste, or disposable slippers were provided. Breakfast offered a variety of food options. The staff were friendly!

I was a bit nervous about the elevator, but it wasn't scary at all! It was actually quite fun! 😊 The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options ✨

The reception is on the 4th floor, so I had to struggle to carry my luggage, especially since there were 7 of us and the lift only fits 2 people at a time. There's a luggage storage area, and it feels quite secure. The room is a bit small compared to other hotels. The most inconvenient thing about this hotel is its location on the 4th floor, as the building houses many different hotel brands.

Great location, with kind and well-trained staff. The only minor drawback was the small, old elevator.

The room was tiny, barely enough space to open a 20-inch suitcase. The bed felt more like a sofa. But then again, that's pretty common for European hotels. Breakfast was also very basic. The location, however, was excellent. It's a two-minute walk to the central station, and with police everywhere, I felt quite safe. Getting to the airport via shuttle bus was super convenient. There's also an 'Old Chengdu' Sichuan restaurant nearby that's really authentic, and easily reachable by foot using navigation.

Location was very great and convenience but the room quite small.

It occupies only the top two floors of a wing of the building. First, you need to ring the intercom to get inside, then there’s a lift for only two people that goes up to the 4th floor. The mattress was very bad: in the morning I woke up tilted, as if I were in a small boat. Breakfast was okay, but the selection was extremely limited and the space very cramped.

Good for one night. The room was clean.
