"I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The check-in process was smooth and welcoming. Although the room was not as large as some other hotels, it was very comfortable and well-maintained. The location is fantastic—just steps away from the Metaxourghio metro station, making it incredibly easy to get around. It’s only a few stops to Syntagma Square, where you can enjoy a lovely walk through the pedestrian street to Monastiraki. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. The staff were exceptionally helpful and even assisted us in arranging a taxi to the bus station. I highly recommend this hotel for its convenience, great service, and excellent breakfast!"

"We stayed here for a short city break and found the hotel to be basic but clean — for the price, we really couldn’t complain. The highlight was definitely the pool area and rooftop bar, which were perfect for relaxing in the afternoon after a morning of sightseeing. The surrounding area wasn’t the most picturesque, but this seemed fairly typical across Athens until you reached the more touristy parts near the Acropolis. That said, I always felt safe walking around. The main attractions were about a 30-minute walk away, or just a £5 Uber ride. There was a metro station close by, though we didn’t end up using it. Overall, a solid budget-friendly option with great rooftop views and a laid-back vibe."

"It is very classic and vintage inside the room! But hotel reception and doorman are very thoughtful and helpful on every guilde to everyone! Breakfast is amazing for traveller like me must wake up by good food’! So It is definitely a standard of 5 star and the location surround by great local cuisines with reasonable price! "It was the first time I stayed in the hotel and it was a wonderful stay I was in the room 402 days the only thing I wanted you to be responsible for is how much the bottom of the door was a little damaged and it didn't close easily I pointed it out to the girls who were very kind when they were cleaning and I think that they will take care of it and fix it for their next bookings otherwise everything was great in this hotel including the spa which I had treatment and the girls were very kind and of course the restaurant which I also attended for a pie cutting it had very kind people and very good food"

"The room is quite big and clean, and the waiter is very friendly. However, I have to go to Delphi for two days, and I wanted to store my luggage for two days. The front desk charged 60 Euros for luggage storage, which I didn't like. When I went to Santorini for 3 days while staying at Electra Palace, there was no charge for luggage storage. However, the location of the hotel is very good, and it is convenient to go everywhere!"

"Review for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge. The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus. The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel. The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive. That said, there were some drawbacks: Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles. The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge. The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests. Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites. The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it. Bottom line: The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting."

"I stayed for 7 days and it was pretty good. It's very close to the Acropolis and very convenient. There are some big stones of Athens' ancient monuments in the dining area on the underground first floor of the hotel. The breakfast is very good. The hotel has a recommended parking lot. If you can find a parking space on the surrounding streets, it is free, but it is difficult to find"
