"Stayed for 4 days, and it was great. The room was spacious and clean, and housekeeping cleaned it daily. It felt very safe, with no homeless people around. The hotel locks its main entrance at midnight, and you can only enter with your room key card. There are plenty of restaurants and a supermarket on the street behind the hotel, making it very convenient. Both bus stops and cable car stops are nearby. One thing to note is that the bus stop is only on one side of the street; for the opposite direction, you'll need to look for the 'bus stop' markings on the road, as there isn't a clear platform. "My sister and I stayed at Piona Hotel for 9 nights. It's centrally located, close to many tourist attractions. Initially, we planned to explore the area on foot, but there were so many homeless people that we didn't feel safe walking around. We ended up taking Ubers everywhere we went. I definitely wouldn't recommend going out for a walk at night as it felt quite scary. However, the staff were incredibly helpful. I was very impressed and would certainly choose Piona again if I have the chance to return. I'd also recommend it to my friends. The breakfast offered a lovely selection of snacks and fruits."

"Location📍: on the way from San Francisco to the Silicon Valley and approximate 30 mins drive to the Silicon Valley. Nice choice if you plan to travel on self drive as there is no parking fee and the room is quite big with all the necessary facilities. There are also supermarkt around it within few minutes drive. Amenities🌐: a little bit old but still acceptable and in accordance to the price range."

"As one of the nicest hotels in downtown San Francisco, I was very pleased with my stay at Handley. The assistant manager was incredibly generous and kindly upgraded our room to a suite, which we truly appreciated. The staff overall was very friendly and attentive. We had a few questions about the amenities, and they answered everything politely and professionally. The location is excellent — close to Union Square, the iconic San Francisco cable car lines, and many attractions within walking distance. Since the hotel was built in 1930, the rooms do feel a bit outdated, but they were clean and spacious, which mattered most to us. The only downside was that the floors creaked and made noise when people walked by, which woke me up in the middle of the night. That said, considering the prime location and the outstanding service, this minor issue would not stop me from staying here again or recommending it to others."

"Service: All the front desk staff were incredibly diligent and professional. They answered all my questions and were quite enthusiastic. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned every day and was spotless. They even cleaned up the hair I had stuck to the wall! Location: It's very close to Fisherman's Wharf and feels very safe. The location is excellent. Facilities: The facilities are a bit old, so don't expect too much. Both the faucet and shower have low water pressure. Breakfast: Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM and offers a wide variety of choices. You can eat as many strawberries as you want, even the ones that cost $6.99 a box at the supermarket! Eating a good breakfast here can definitely keep you full until dinner."

"This is a good quality hotel among the popular hotels in San Francisco. The public space and rooms are large, a bit like the hotel in The Shining. It is very close to Fisherman's Wharf and the main attractions of San Francisco's coastline. Such a convenient location + off-season and this price are still very comfortable in the United States. The convenience store/bar and lounge area on the first floor make it easy to socialize with locals. The main disadvantage is that it is too big, and there are a lot of completely useless spaces in the corridors that can make people tired. There may be American gangs making a lot of noise downstairs at night."

"L'hotel è pulito, quasi ogni giorno cambiano. Colazione purtroppo poca, ma penso che sia forse un organizzazione ancora di spazi, però buona dai. Posizione in realtà strategica perchè ai i mezzi pubblici vicini che ti portano ovunque quindi servità bene. Staff ottimo, tutti a disposizione pronti a servirti (CITO Samuel o Sam in particolare bravissimo) Purtroppo ha una pecca, la zona, perchè ci sono parecchie persone in strada. Allora siamo stati 5 giorni li, all'inizio se non sei abituato fa paura, poi ti rendi conto che polizia ogni 100m quindi diciamo ”ti senti meglio”. Lo consiglio, e consiglio di tenere la vostra auto nel lorl parcheggio a disposizione."

"I have to say, the room and facilities were pretty good, and the location was decent too. However, one issue made me feel this hotel was a bit of a rip-off. I had previously booked a room through Trip.com for October 16th to 18th. At the time, it showed that in addition to the room rate, an extra 294 RMB (approximately $41 USD) would be charged upon arrival. But according to the receipt from the hotel, they actually charged $49.20 per night. I believe this is a case of the hotel not clearly disclosing fees and abusing its charging rights. What was even more frustrating was that when my son checked in on the evening of the 16th, he dined at the hotel restaurant. The hotel only informed him that he could spend $35 for free each day, but failed to clarify that this amount was not cumulative. This led him to mistakenly believe he could use a total of $70 over two days at once, resulting in him paying extra unnecessarily. I emailed the hotel's general email and the Hilton receipt email yesterday, but received no response. This afternoon, I raised the issue with Trip.com, and surprisingly, the compensation was refunded within an hour! I really have to commend Trip.com! From now on, I'll definitely stick with Trip.com for my travel arrangements – they're reliable, professional, and efficient!"
