Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham South Bend/at Notre Dame

Stayed here for one night because we were attending a concert in the area. I can understand up charging a little for a high demand location but charging 4 times the regular nightly rate at $250 for one night at this place is robbery. There was dried urine on the toilet seat in the bathroom, the shower curtain was disgusting, the counters looked as though they have never been wiped down, there were stains on the carpet and it had not been vacuumed, the curtain rod on the window was broken, the only clock in the room was flashing the wrong time, there was garbage in the drawers from previous stays, and I highly suggest bringing your own soap if you want to feel clean because the cheap one provided doesn’t do the trick. There was also a censor timer on the bathroom light that made it go off after about 2 minutes. I took a 10 minute shower and had to wave my hand outside of the curtain 3 separate times to get the light to turn back on so I didn’t have to shower in the dark. Oh yeah, is it really necessary to send a text at 8 am asking when we’ll be checking out when the check out isn’t until 12?Room 302.

I did not like their breakfast foods no variety of foods every morning, same every morning. The room telephone is not working and it was dirty , ( foods sticked on the phone) the room TV is complicated to operate, is not working since I check in finally the night before I will check out someone figure out / fix it but only a couple of hours when I turn off back to the problem . It was middle of the night.The location is good near at Notredame.

Never stay here! Lumpy pillows, dirty bathtub, no refrigerator, a band aide stuck on my sheets, no coffee cups at breakfast—you had to bring your own from your room, and no one ever filled the vending machine so no water was available. Complete dump.

BEWARE. I booked two queens and non-disability room. I was in the lobby at 10:00 pm and they didn’t have any two bed rooms available- and all the other rooms had yet to be cleaned. FOUR HOURS LATER, after wheeling in a roll-away bed, we checked in and upon entering the room, discovered it was an accessible room.

Unfortunately, I did not end up staying here. Although the hotel was inexpensive online, I was hoping it would still be good quality. When I arrived to my room the floors hadn’t been vacuumed. It was dark and dimly lit, so I went to open the window, there were weird smears of something on the bench and the window was dusty. The room despite not being clean was heavily perfumed. I have asthma so it was triggering for that and gave me a headache. I set my expectations too high. I ended up leaving about thirty minutes after I checked in and let the front desk know. I don’t mean to be rude at all, but the other reviews I read of this place were misleading. I will be contacting ******* for a refund and will not be staying at the Microtel again.

Staff was nice, room was dirty, please get an exterminator for the eastern hallway, there are roaches on the floor and it stinks.
