Prestige Victoria

Prestige Victoria

★★★ 8.5 (90 reviews)

"The strong bridges: seafront! Nice view, quick access to the beach, clean, many restaurants around! Shuttle nearby to reach the old roses! Helpful staff. Weak points: aging structures, bed with very hard mattress! Swimming pool really too small for the capacity of the hotel! We were not able to park on site because the capacity of the hotel parking lot is also very limited! !!we drove around for 1 hour!to find a place 1.5 km away.average breakfast (but plenty of choice)."

"The hotel is very conveniently located at the Roses marina. There's an inexpensive parking lot nearby at the fishing harbor. It has a lovely, large swimming pool, and the balconies offer beautiful views of both the sea and the pool. However, the hotel is showing its age, and the common areas are in dire need of renovation. The room itself is also furnished with older furniture. The shower was walk-in. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels in Roses."

Hotel Mas Palou

Hotel Mas Palou

📍 Can Palou, Ctra. de les Arenes, s/n, Roses
★★★ 7.3 (42 reviews)

"Really very disappointed. Room not ready when we arrived. Unpleasant surprise to be in a dark cellar overlooking a wall and a passage. Whirlpool bath more than critical. Moldy tile joints. Moldy nozzles. Broken shower hose. Didn't sleep a wink all night. Every ten minutes a motor would start just behind our headboard. Behind the wall is the spa's technical room. We changed rooms the next night. A little better in terms of clarity. On the other hand, WC leading into the bedroom just separated by a small wall! Super glam, hello privacy... window just above the bathtub And without shutter. A simple curtain. Long live the exhibition! And finally swimming pool not clean with two parasols which no longer open. Broken. And very average breakfast....etc... Room price 180€."

"We were invited to stay overnight at this hotel by a friend from Cadaques. We had a most enjoyable stay, especially interesting because it coincided with the vendimia (grape harvesting), so breakfast outside was accompanied by a totally new experience for us, watching the grapes being bought in for pressing, etc. The hosts, especially Carme, Rafael and David were charming and very attentive. The room was rural in decor, with a very good bathroom and spotlessly clean, eqipped with a fridge and a safe, bathrobes, toiletries, etc. The breakfast is great - a jug of freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants, bread with tomato and a generous plate of cold cuts and cheese, plus yogourts, fruit and as much coffee as you wanted. The post-breakfast wine tour and tasting, with the very knowledgeable English-speaking David, was fascinating and included a tasting of 5 wines, naturally, we bought a few bottles to take home with us! The location is superb, too. However, this is a rural hotel and run as such, so not staffed between 5.00 and 7.00 p.m. so ideally it's best not to arrive then, although we did and found a note telling us what to do, so it wasn't a problem. There is no restaurant, but the terrace bar opens at 7.00 p.m and served wine, drinks, cold cuts, cheese, etc., which was definitely enough for us and a friend. (Or you can buy your own snacks and have the use of the dining room.) All very informal, relaxed and "special", we really enjoyed it and definitely intend to return. Gracias Carme and Rafa!"

"A really well run hotel with cheerful, helpful staff. A very good breakfast with the best orange juice imaginable and the fixed price, three course menu in the evening is a good option. There is also the Sloop beach bar that can be accessed directly from the hotel through a tunnel under the road. This serves an extensive menu to suit all appetites. Highly recommend the Sangria. The swimming is some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere."

Hotel Carmen Hotels in Roses

"I’ve walked past this little hotel many times but never stayed there until now . Simple and elegant in design . Comfortable rooms . Friendly and helpful staff . Gorgeous breakfast room with buffet style items but also freshly made eggs cooked to order . Access to Hostal Rom next door for a bar and restaurant for evening meals if you wish . Very close to the beach and the centre of Roses while being situated on a quiet street just minutes away . The balcony is very small but 2 people can sit there . Only one minor point is that the balcony chairs had peeling paint which made them uncomfortable to sit on ."

"The biggest advantage is that it is not expensive. The front desk is weird and not very friendly. The breakfast and coffee are the worst in this trip. There is no elevator, and you need to use traditional metal keys to open and lock the doors, which is very retro."

"We have had a great stay. The staff is very pleasant and the hotel is superbly located 100 metres from the sea and all shops and restaurants. Good breakfast, very pleasant bar and dinner evening with a great choice."

Casa de l’Albada Hotels in Roses

Casa de l’Albada

"I loved it, I felt like I was in paradise. The pool is the best and the food too, but it's a bit pricey. It's perfect if you want to disconnect alone or if you want to go with friends or family. I recommend it. And the lipziesa was a ten out of ten, everything was so clean and smelled so good."

"Very disappointing, no soundproofing. A main ventilation system that prevents us from sleeping. It's impossible to adjust the heating; the room temperature reaches 25 degrees despite being set to the lowest setting (we had to turn it off)."

Hotel Mas Palou ★★★
"The hotel is ideally located next to the road which goes to Cadaquès in the quiet countryside, and less than 2 km from the sea. The building has a lot of exterior charm. We had already been there 11 years ago, but it is a shame that this hotel has aged and so have the room facilities due to lack of maintenance and modernization. The room: To save energy all electricity is cut off when the card is removed from the room, including the heat pump. Which means that when you return to your room, in February, it is quite cold! Especially since there is no interior insulation! And since the indoor units are not young, you have the choice between freezing yourself or putting up with quite a lot of noise. The same goes for power outlets: it's impossible to leave a tablet or computer charging while you're away for a meal or breakfast... An oddity, in room 11 (rented as a superior room!), you have 3 roof windows without blackout curtain or shutter: you are therefore awake at daybreak! Not great in June when the nights are short! In the bathroom, it takes several minutes (and how many liters) to have hot water in the shower: not very ecological in a region that lacks water. For the hot or cold water sink, it is impossible to have lukewarm water because there are 2 taps. To be as objective as possible, the bedding is perfect, neither too hard nor too soft. 👍🏼 Restaurant: For the meal part, just 1 menu with 5 or 6 choices. But a small problem is that it is sometimes poorly translated, the pork chops are in reality ribs, and the portion of accompanying vegetables is really very small. Breakfast: correct and plentiful, some cold meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs, pastries, but not fresh fruit juice but bottled, and of course hot drinks. Too bad… 😏"

Hotel Roses Platja ★★★
"I recently stayed at Hotel Roses Platja and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I asked for the price of a 2-night stay and was told it would be €530. However, online prices clearly showed around €180 for the same dates. When I pointed this out and booked online instead, Fatima at the reception suddenly stopped mentioning the higher price she had given me. She claimed she knew nothing about the online prices, which was frustrating and unprofessional. Additionally, due to a booking error, only one guest was listed instead of two. There was no price difference online, but the hotel still charged us an extra €44 at the reception for the second person. It felt like they were trying every possible way to get more money out of us. The room itself was not worth the money. It didn’t smell fresh and was quite basic. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location – very central and close to the beach. But overall, I would not recommend staying here, especially considering how they treat their guests and handle pricing.
