Argyle Guest House

We stayed here in a big family group and we were all pleasantly surprised with this beautiful place! Gorgeous decor throughout, warm and friendly staff too made a pleasant stay for us all! The location is ideal - beautiful seafront views and minutes walk from the town! Great quality breakfast in the morning too! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

It was only a quick visit to the island for a family event. The location is great, room was clean and very comfy. Breakfast was very very good. Found the host and staff to be friendly and helpful. There was slight issue with the shower in my room and when I raised it the hosts were very apologetic and offered to allow me to use another room but I didn’t have time. Will definitely come back on my next visit.

I visited Rothesay on a little road trip around Scotland and booked into the Argyle Guest House. First of all the owners were amazing when I had to change my dates before I arrived. Couldn’t be more helpful. On arrival I was greeted by one of the owners who was so friendly and welcoming. The guest house was in a premium position right on the promenade with beautiful views over the bay. My room as beautiful. Immaculately clean and decorated to a very high standard. Very Scottish but very classy. I felt so bad when I spilled some coffee on the crisp white bed sheet (sorry guys). The bed was so comfortable and had the best nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was outstanding 5*. Amazing local produce on the place and was the best breakfast I had on my entire trip. Unfortunately I had to leave a day early as I was having car trouble and had to call the AA out and I didn’t want to get stuck on the island so decided to come home and get the car fixed pronto. Thank you guys for a fabulous stay and I will be back 100%. You have a quality establishment there. Loads of hoteliers could learn from you. A sincere thank you from me.
