With a view to die for, Ardyne is in a magnificent position overlooking Rothesay Bay; on-street parking is easy and the breakfast was excellent with a choice of the wonderful full Scottish or the Ardyne special with a scrambled egg tower, smoked salmon and capers.

Great B&B option in Rothesay. 20 min walk from the ferry terminal and with bus stop right outside the house. The single room has great sea view (you see the ferry pass by from the bed!), a nice reading nook by the window as well as a sink/private bathroom/ tea prep area. Bed was comfy with multiple pillows and towels available. Staff super nice and helpful, and they offer a great breakfast option with a cereal buffet and a cooked breakfast as well. Very quiet and tranquil despite being by the road Lovely stay in Rothesay and easy to use public transport right from the B&B

This was our second stay at the Ardyne and it was just as good as last year. So what makes it good? Friendly personal service from Jane, excellent breakfasts, comfortable beds and views north up the Kyles of Bute from the dining room with easy chairs in window. We had the same view from our bedroom and it's well worth asking for a room with a view so you can sit and watch the ferries. Having visited all the islands served by CalMac, Bute remains one of my favourites, and it's a great place to relax, enjoy the scenery and walk the West Island Way.

We had a beautiful 2 night stay in the Ardyne, well looked after by Jane. Had a complimentary bottle of wine on our first evening with the most beautiful views from a huge window overlooking the sea. Room was ideal & breakfast superb with a lovely walk into Rothesay. I would not hesitate to recommend this perfect B & B to anyone going doon the water.

My wife and I stayed here after a 10 day holiday in Spain with the kids as a recharging break for us both lol. We had a warm welcome from Jane when we arrived. Who advised us our room was ready to go and that they would have our cream tea ready for us when we got down from unpacking. When we got back down and sat at the front window waiting for our cream tea we were blown away by the view out of the massive window, it was stunning and made even more amazing as the sun was shining and we had clear views for miles. We could have sat there all day and night. Cream tea arrived and it was delicious, the scones looked a bit odd but as we found out we were guinea pigs for this and they had been made in an Air Fryer yes they looked odd but they were delicious and the Jam and cream with them was devine. Though giving us 3 caused an argument as to who was getting extra and you can't half a scone, can you? Lol. Thanks go out to Skye I believe for the scones. We did not have a sea-view room as we were on a budget however if you can afford it it is most definitely well worth the extra cost. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable and like most B&Bs you could sit and point out faults with things being dated and needing painted but this did not distract us from our stay. The art work dotted round the place was stunning especially certain pieces which were painted by Jane herself. The one at the top of the first flight of stairs I would have in my own home I loved it (and I'm not artsy) shout out also to Skye's needle work which I couldn't confirm may be hanging on one of the landings if this is yours wow just wow looks like lots of time went into it. Good breakfast selection, though for me it's all about the full Scottish, food freshly cooked to order and absolutely superb. The best breakfast I have had in ages. Guest house is licensed so you can order a bottle/glass of wine or beer to enjoy along with the views from the patio area, or the lounge area indoors if the weather is wet. Parking on the road outside. Situated about 5 minutes drive from the ferry terminal or a 15 minute walk. Great location for leaving car and walking in for a drink/meal at night. Last mention goes to Alfie the dog who had a game of fetch with the Mrs though I think he was making the Mrs do all the fetching. Highly recommended and hopefully be back soon.

A great guest house with a warm welcome, excellent breakfast and stunning views up the Kyles of Bute. We had a dog friendly first floor room and he was able to join us for breakfast. There's no designated parking but we had no bother parking outside. Extra tip for dog owners: there's easy access up Leopold Road into Bogany Woods.

A warm welcome from the hosts. We had a sea-view room well worth the little extra cost. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Good breakfast selection, food freshly cooked to order and absolutely superb. Guest house is licensed so you can order a bottle/glass of wine to enjoy along with the views from the patio area, or the lounge area indoors if the weather is wet. Parking on the road outside, but we didn't find it a problem. Situated about 5 minutes from the ferry terminal. Highly recommended.
