Basic hotel in traditional Ibis style, clean, with lots of parking options and close enough to restaurants and Kuirau Park. We stayed two nights and definitely recommend if you’re looking for value for money.

Shower box is very small , there is not hair conditioner. The 3in 1 gel for body hair and had wash is not good at all , specially for shower after thermal spa, do need hair conditioner for untangling hair. Otherwise all good 👍

Fuss free check in, basic but adequate amenities. Good bargain for the space given the price paid. Most appreciate the location and beautiful lake view

ibis Rotorua is located near a public geothermal park, you can visit there to take a look at the bubbling pool and smell the steaming sulphur filled in the air.

Stayed here two nights. Lots of problems with the first room (shower kept flooding and there was no soap) and requested to change rooms - eventually but it took a long time for staff to organise. 2nd room didn’t have enough towels. Beds were very soft. Staff were polite and breakfast was ok.

The hotel was dirty, not enough amenities, they did not change our bath towels and no hand or face towels. Some front desk staff were helpful some had an attitude. Breakfast was not good and staff need a bit of training. They ran out of napkins, can you believe it?

Good location, very near to Lake Rotorua and CBD. Service is fine. However, the bathroom is a little small.

Conveniently located in the town. Driving to most of the attractions is less than 10 mins. Room is quite spacious and very clean too.

The staff of the hotel is friendly and helpful. But the hygiene of the room was awful. The first room were given was full of stains, the carpet, curtains and even bedsheets. We informed the staff who was very professional and arranged another one for us. The newly arranged one was much better, although quite a lot of stains were found on the carpet and sofa which I was not dare to touch. Location so far ok but if you’re not driving, that’s took you 15 minutes walk from the city information centre. Anyway, the cleanliness of the room didn’t worth for the price and won’t choose it again.

Overall is good and it is a great place to stay. Reception staff is friendly as well.
