it was ok for a not long stay. The mattresses are comfortable. and there is really no shower gel and very little toilet paper and paper towels, so come prepared

I don’t normally leave bad reviews but I was so disappointed by this hostel. I’m aware it’s the luck of the draw with who is also staying in your room, but everything was so dirty. The bathrooms seemed to be cleaned once a day, but they’d forget things like toilet paper etc… People would leave razors, cigarettes, pants, and half eaten food everywhere. The bedsheets felt old and a bit dirty. The toilets were absolutely disgusting, I feel like they needed to be cleaned more than once a day with how quickly they got dirty. I also think they should add bins in the toilet cubicles. The shower rooms basically had no ventilation and I felt suffocated by the end of the shower. The kitchen was literally one hob and because of food left open, there were a few flies in the common area. The staff were really nice, the location was good, and I’m just thankful there weren’t any bedbugs. What an awful hostel.

Good location close to the station. The pantry area and common area on the small side considers the number of guests staying there. Euro 1.45 was changed upon check in for the tax which was not indicated during booking in the apps.

Terrible service when it came to checking in, I waited for over 4 hours and they were saying my room isn’t ready and they were still cleaning mind you this was after check in time 15:00!

The location is convenient. I arrived by bicycle and was able to secure my bicycle the the racks in the square in front of the hotel. It is a 10-15 walk to central station, cube house, Oude Haven and other tourist sites. There is shopping precinct and major supermarket 10 min walk away. I went to a concert at de Doelen which was next to central station so easy to get to. I recommend doing to 15 min walk to the waterfront and getting the water taxi from Erasmusbrug as a cheap way to do a river cruise … the water taxi even goes all the way to Kinderdjik , the famous windmill area. I stayed in the triple female only room. The was one other roommate with whom I had no problems. The room felt spacious. Each bed had its own light and charging point. There were no curtains though the board with the lamp and charging point acted as a privacy shield. Bedding is laid out on the bed and you make the bed yourself. Comfy bed. There were several showers and toilets located in the corridor as well as separate sinks. The shower had hot water …. Is the type you press the button to 30 seconds of water then press again which helps conserve water. Bring your own towel or hire one. Rooms have keycard access. You need your own padlock for the locker in the room. The locker will not fit a big suitcase though my carryon sized luggage fitted ok. I was on the top floor in an annex type area where it was very quiet. I had no issues with cleanliness though I did notice an empty drinks container in the toilet for a couple of days. There is a small area near reception with seating and small tables where it is possible to sit and eat your own food. There is a small kitchenette area with one fridge, kettle, microwave ,air fryer and a hot plate. Using the hotplate for foods such as pasta, rice, boiling eggs is permitted but not frying nor cooking smelly foods. It is very helpful to be able to use these resources for quick food prep, though keep in mind that you may need to wait at meal times and utensils are limited. There appeared to be some people living there who had their own cooking utensils. Like many places in the Netherlands there is a steep staircase to get in, so even though there is a lift to get to the different floors, the first staircase will be a hurdle for those with a large suitcase. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

Very nice personnel at reception: friendly and hospitable, they will always try to help you in any way they can. Location is great: close to the train station and a stone away from the metro. You can walk/ cycle pretty much everywhere as you are in the centre. Amenities could be improved for a more comfortable stay. Showers leaking into the corridor outside, lights not working near the sinks on 4th floor. Also, I appreciate technology, but those QR code lock system is a bit inconvenient as well: you rely on your phone + battery to unlock your door, my QR was not working at first, etc.

Bathroom and toilet very smelly and dirty, bed lamp and lady room washing area ceiling lamp broken, toilet door lock broken, myself and roomate were locked inside, all the above problem was reported but no further action taken , the staffs' were informed and the only responses were: oh, ok , unbelievable!!! The kitchen is terrible messy and smelly, I changed from mixed pod to lady room bcos it's not safe and not comfortable at all, the male guests changing in public with no privacy alert, very insecurity and uncomfortable stay, lady shd stay away from booking this place as noticed always has outsider sit at entrance door staircase, and they can come in as well, scary mary experience, the worst experience so far!!!!
