Off the bat the owners were amazing such a lovely couple. Stayed in a single room which was perfect for myself. Stayed one night whilst in Ireland on my motorbike. Wanted to take in some of the wild Atlantic way I’d missed on previous trips while over for the NW200 Decent facilities and a short drive to local town for supplies and takeaways comfy bed although pillow a tad too big and bouncy for my liking, lovely hot shower I was so busy playing with my new action camera taking videos I completely forgot to take pics lol

We received a very warm welcome from Leon. He was very accommodating and a perfect host. It made the trip down memory lane even more enjoyable. After 20 years when I first came to Glencolmcille to learn Irish at Oideas Gael Well done for the warm croissant at breakfast and we are looking forward to return as soon as we can.

Great hostel, we were made feel at home by Leon and Gillian from the get go. We were amedium group of students and staff. The house is cosy, we got absolutley soaked on our first day walking and met Leon on the road, I asked him did he have a fireplace and when we got back to the hostel the stove was blazing and we sat beside it for a couple of hours warming up and drying off. They were good craic, welcoming and chatty. The breakfast was good. Room were good and comfortable. Gillian even leant us a boardgame which we had great fun with for 2 evenings after a days walking. I would reccomend and we'll certainly be back. Thanks again for the duck tape Leon! Conall

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and roomy and more than adequate to our needs. It was not fancy, but who needs fancy when you're going to be out all day? The bed was very comfortable. Leon and Gillian were lovely. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They kept me supplied every morning in gluten free cereal and baked goods. I would definitely recommend Aras B&B as a place to stop in Gleann Colm Cille.

Great location. Clean, affordable, practical yet with a subtle level of comfort that won't leave you dissatisfied. We cooked our own steak dinner in the kitchen. I imagine when it's busier you might want to plan that carefully. Nice more than adequate continental breakfast laid on. The proprietors are amenable. Interesting and extremely friendly. Leon will go out of his way to orientate you with the local attractions. You really must give it a visit. Kevin & Suzanne

Owners Leon and Gillian are exceptional hosts. Very friendly place, and they would make sure all your questions about the area are answered. Fantastic for a short period if you are to spend days out and use the room only for a night. If you love mountains and simple solutions, this is a great place that is quiet overnight. This is fantastic for hiking and outdoor /adventure-type trips, but it is not a touristy place or hotel where you would like to spend a day in the room. Not really a family, comfy place. You get all that you need and nothing on top. saying that owners are wonderful, and facilities are enough, but basic. Our room lock did not work, which did not bother me at all, but i understand it might be an issue for many.

Everything about this B&B was great; from the location, the facilities (especially for my dog Rex), to the hosts. We were pleasantly surprised to see just how clean the entire place was, considering it's pet friendly. The hosts could not have done more for us and nothing was too much trouble. Leon went above and beyond his duties, by driving us to and from the local bar both nights (including the dog who ended up being the star of the show!) The rooms were a perfect double size with a very comfy mattress/pillows and everything was extremely clean. Breakfast offered delicious white/brown toast, with Irish butter and jam/marmalade. This with tea, coffee and juice were available for 2nds if not more... Cooked breakfast was simple, and cooked to order. Each element was perfectly cooked and not greasy in the slightest. Leon and Gillian were just the perfect hosts. They came to help at a moments notice, and nothing was too much trouble, while they were still able to make guests feel they were completely at home and relaxed. We ADORED our stay and hope to return soon. PERSONAL THANKS to all the staff.

My husband and I had a very relaxing holiday In Aras Glencolmkill. The hotel was basic but had everything you needed and you could relax in the communal kitchen or library. The owners Leon and Gillian were so friendly and very knowledgeable about the area..it really was like a home from home. Where the hotel is situated has the most breathtaking scenery. We will definitely be returning to Aras
