"We stayed at Vaya Post Saalbach and loved it. We were a really big group (70+) and they handled us really well, especially when taking over the bar after skiing! Location is excellent, right in the heart of the village. We were an easy walk to the Snow Academy, supermarket and gondolas. Rooms were cozy and comfortable. Food was excellent. Some of the best meals I experienced in Austria. A big selection of fruit, yoghurt and warm breakfast each day and a set menu to choose from for dinner. Highly recommend."

"The positives , nice rooms , very clean new and well kitted out , breakfast was nice enough although bacon seemed a real problem and always met with rolled eyes when asked for more ! The negatives , whilst not far to ski slope and the walk into town was 5 minutes but be warned it’s down a narrow and very steep “double black” path which if snow covered would be treacherous - hotel did say this to us but it is super steep , the walk down the road is miles and not realistic , taxi back from town was 20 euros a night not ideal really if you want to look in Saalbach in the evening which you will because the restaurant staff are poor and unhelpful and bar shuts early and lifeless - Reception staff very helpful restaurant and bar staff less to to the point of surly and rude .. got yelled at from 20 yards by a member of staff as I walked out of breakfast with an apple “oi you can’t take that out of restaurant “ then made me go and read a small sign and leave it there in front of the whole restaurant ..it made me feel like a thief and whilst there is a small sign that you can’t take food from breakfast it was an apple to eat on the move to my room .. I have never ever been shouted at like that in any hotel I have ever stayed at ..incredulous and other guests all sympathised and said it was pathetic .. surely a discreet word would have been better suited if they really had to enforce this “rule” for a measly Apple ..I wasn’t walking out with a meal for 4 ! All in all it was reasonable price and clean and nicely fitted out but wouldn’t go again because of the location and staff .sorry it’s just how I feel about my experience .."

"Difficult to fault the stay at this hotel - it was superb! Excellent central location close to lifts and bus services but despite this the hotel was quiet and relaxing. The staff were first class throughout being both friendly and professional, always keen to go the extra mile to make your stay comforatble. Breakfasts offered a huge variety catering for all tastes and the evening dinner was simply excellent with quality wines and spirits being the norm. Our room was well equipped and very spacious and the hotel throughout was spotless. We will definitely be returning and cannot rate the hotel and staff highly enough."

"Pros: The hotel itself is in a great location. We loved the ease of half-pension every night. The dinner was good with entrees choice changing every night. Breakfast was a buffet but we found there was many choices. The family rooms were spacious, and the pull-out sofa was comfortable for a sofa. Loved the heated ski storage. Cons: The heat in the room in unable to be adjusted or shut off. It was 76 degrees in the room overnight - no one slept much. Tried opening the window, but our room was along the main road, which let in the noise from people out drinking all night (1am or so). On the good side, the windows keep out most of the noise when they are shut. After a night of no sleep and sleep and unhappy sweating family members, I went down to the front desk first thing in the morning instead of skiing (we had already paid for ski rentals for the entire time so I lost out on the money) to ask how to shut off heat. Women at checkout said she would send technician up to look at system since it was so hot. I waited 3 hours and no one came to the room. Went back downstairs and it seems she forgot to tell them. Once she called technician he was there in 15 minutes. He said the heat was automatically controlled and there was no way to turn it off in the room. He unplugged the minibar and told me only thing to do is open all the windows since we couldn't regulate heat in each room. So for 3 nights we slept in crazy hot room. We were able to open the windows after the bars shut sometime after midnight. Wish the front desk women would have told me about the thermostat when I went down in the morning so I didn't lose a day of skiing waiting for someone to show up to tell me nothing can be done. "

"We were made so welcome at eva, Village. From the moment the wonderful doorman greeted us and whisked our bags away, to the glass of prosecco and efficient check in. We had asked for a larger room but were unable to have this on the first night when we booked so were going to move on day 2, however there had obviously been a change in bookings and to our surprise and delight we were directed to the room that I had wanted and with the view that I had requested. We were so pleased."
