Wonderful hotel. It's in a remote location, so I recommend having your own car to get there and to explore the area if that’s what you’re looking for.
The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was really helpful and accommodating to vegetarian guests like me. They even took us to a nearby coffee shop (U Terrace, which I strongly recommend) in their own car.
The food is tasty, and both breakfast and dinner are included.
There is free rafting available in an amazing location, and the swimming pool is great.

Das Wang Nok Kaew Park View ist ein schönes Hotel der Mittelklasse. Es ist ausschliesslich für Thailändische Gäste konzipiert. Kaum jemand spricht Englisch. Für die Malzeiten steht ein Buffet bereit, welches aus typisch Thailändischen Menüs besteht. Al la carte oder westliche Menüs sucht man vergebens. Die Malzeiten sind allerdings gut bis sehr gut, wenn man die Thailändische Küche mag. Die Bungalows und Zimmer der oberen Klasse sind befriedigend ausgestattet. Die Zimmer der lower Class sind für westliche Besucher nicht unbedingt geeignet, da die Ausstattung nicht den Erwartungen eines westlichen Touristen entspricht. In der Nacht wird vom weiter oben gelegenen Stausee Wasser abgelassen, sodass der Flusspegel markant ansteigt und massiv an Fliessgeschwindigkeit zunimmt. Dies lässt in der ersten Nacht ein Unbehagen aufkommen, da man vom Personal nicht auf diesen Umstand aufmerksam gemacht wird. Ein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel ist trotz den kleinen Mängeln aber durchaus empfehlenswert.
