Ibis Styles Saint-Malo Centre Historique

This is an excellent hotel in the heart of the historic district. It is about a 5 minute walk to the conference center and close to shops and restaurants. It is close enough to train station to walk but we took a taxi due to luggage. The staff are super nice and helpful and speak English thank goodness. The breakfast was included and delicious. The room was small but it is an old charming building. The shower is small which took some creativity to maneuver. The elevator is also small so at first we just used it as a dumb waiter to send up our luggage but once we decided to brave the coffin sized space it actually wasn’t too bad! At the very end we both got in the elevator together and it was ok. We did splurge for the best room with a view and it was nice to open the windows and hear the sea gulls. Overall I would recommend this hotel and advise packing light because there is a nice laundry mat about a block away. There is also a small grocery store nearby and everything you need close by.

The hotel is super well located inside the old walls of Saint Malo (intramuros), 100m max from the big parking lot (outside the walls). Tos of restaurants (including Michelin-recommended) nearby. We got a room with view of the port. Thanks for the incredibly gentle, and funny reception guys (both), we felt very welcome even with a last-minute on-site booking. The room is exactly enough for a couple spending few days in the charming town: clean and modern, functional. I'd be gladly back. Honest priced.

The hotel was great for our needs. The 5 th floor room was small, but had everything we needed.. I used the smallest lift in the world to reach the room initially, but the stairs were preferable... Quite a challenge if you weren't reasonably fit. The lift has a weight limit also, so be warned. Breakfast was OK. The staff are excellent. Special mention to Nicolas for recommending a lovely restaurant not far from hotel and also to Nadine for being extremely helpful throughout our stay and afterwards, as we left something at the hotel. It's in a great location if you want to stay in the walled town. You can park nearby and walk to everything from there

We have stayed here several times, firstly the staff are brilliant, helpful and jolly. The hotel is an Ibis Styles, not the Ritz and is exceptional value for money. It is immaculate, modern interior very comfortable and the breakfast is very good. There is seating outside in the summer and you can get drinks. It’s location is near the main gate which is great for all the restaurants and bars.

Excellent This is a great place to stay inside the walls of St Malo, close to the entrance square and surrounded by bars an restaurants. . The staff are exceptional and it’s excellent value for money. Been here before and will stay again.
