We received a very warm welcome to a beautiful property from Gilles, he explained how everything worked and we felt at home to wander around the gardens and adjacent vineyard. The bedroom was very quiet and comfortable. We had an excellent breakfast and headed off to visit Chateau Lynches Bages which had been organised for us by Gilles.

Beautiful accommodation/rooms in a quiet environment. Great place to relax and enjoy the view. Bicycles available. Chose your bottle of wine and enjoy a glass of wine in the backyard. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Gilles and team did not disappoint. What a great Château with its own vineyard attached. Lovely Gardens, swimming pool and the most comfortable beds. Rural area, tranquil, and so peaceful. We were a group of 6 ( 3 couples), and we all voted 10/10 Continential breakfast included. You need to pre book restaurants in area and taxis for evening meals.

Gilles was the perfect host during our two night stay at this wonderful place in St Estephe - our room was bright and light and spacious - the Chateau was very impressive - we had so many rooms to sit in - snug/formal/outside balcony - the pool was very rewarding and Gilles was first to offer every little detail from the kitchen for what we required - including wine left for us on our arrival - everything was very relaxed - Gilles even took care of our washing for us which was so nice - the breakfast was beautiful and set in such a lovely room. Thank you for taking care of us and booking also our tour at Lynch Bages and wonderful lunch at Cafe Lavinal- even Chateau Ormes has its own cat - Bebe - black n white. Enjoy the hospitality and the serenity.

Hi All, Just a quick note tell of my recent experience with Manger Workshop and Mimi Thorisson. I started talking with Mimi back in December for an April workshop. I paid for half the workshop, $2300 but of course, they were suggesting I pay for all of it up-front. Truth be told, I was so excited to go to Italy and see it through Mimi's eyes, and yet, I did have a strange gut feeling that something wasn't on the up-and-up. I wired transferred the money and soon after the contact started to diminish. I purchased tickets and got a hotel room for my first night in Venice. As the time drew near, contact regard logistics ceased and I soon realized that there was something wrong, Two weeks before I was due to fly out, I received an email from Mimi cancelling. She did say that she would refund the money, but still hasn't done so and in one of her emails, she said that she was "expecting a big check soon from America".and would pay me then. That's when I realized Mimi Thorisson and her husband Oter are scammers. I did end up going to Italy and stayed at a wonderful hotel and had a very nice time. it all worked out but I never got my money back. Such a shame. Don't send these people money. There are so many other reputable places.

What an amazing place to stay! Stayed here 5 nights with my husband to explore the area. A couple of nights with friends and then 3 more on our own. The estate of Ormes de Pez is quite large so head for the white open metal gates to get to this B&B. House is beautiful , many large rooms which the guests are welcome to use. Lots of lounge area and games. A terrace outside and garden chairs in the large grounds and an amazing pool! Our room was called Leonie and was delightful, pretty and large. We were welcomed by the host Gilles who was just brilliant in everyway. Very helpful and had loads of local knowledge to impart. Breakfast was very good every morning with a selection of meats cheeses and scrambled eggs. We were told we could use the kitchen to prepare food and store things in the fridge. While we were there we borrowed bikes to cycle to the nearest town, it was lovely to cycle through the countryside with Vineyards are far as you can see in every direction! Location was good, under an hour to the beaches and lakes and just over the hour to central Bordeaux. A lovely city which is well worth a visit for the day. Gilles gave us tips on where to go and where to park. Also working there was Nadege and she was so friendly and helpful too. Doing our room everyday while we had breakfast. Included in the stay was a visit and tour of their Estates family Vineyard a few Kms away. What a jaw dropping experience. Couldn't believe the place. We we late for our booked time but again Gilles came to the rescue and rung and told them we were going to be late, and they were absolutely fine about it. We spoke to other guests and clearly some come back every year, so that certainly tells you something! Amazing work Gilles and Nadege, Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Excellent, excellent. The treatment of the staff from the moment of the first contact when booking, before and even after our stay was wonderful, warm and efficient. The whole house is cozy and well decorated, surrounded by a garden. The beautiful, spacious room, with large windows overlooking the garden and a natural wooden floor on which it is a pleasure to walk. The breakfast is good. I will return without a doubt

On arrival we were surprised at the sight of the chambre d'hôtes Ormes de Pez. Beautiful old mansion! We received a very hospitable and warm welcome from the host who gave us a tour. The chambre d'hôtes is very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. Two beautiful sitting rooms with fireplaces, a beautiful dining room and a cozy breakfast room. How beautifully everything is coordinated! Outside is a terrace with easy chairs, a swimming pool (we didn't use it due to the bad weather) and a large garden. What perfect rest! Our room (Amélie) was nicely decorated, spacious, good bed. Noiseless air conditioner. Bottles of water were ready as a gift. Unfortunately, the bathroom did not have a shower (we do not find it easy to shower while sitting in the bath) and is somewhat dated compared to the rest of the interior. The breakfast was well provided: fresh rolls, croissants, fresh orange juice, delicious scrambled eggs, delicious jam, etc. We had some doubts about the route we should take and the host took all the time to find out for us. Top! Thank you, we had a wonderful stay!
