"Not that my opinion matters to this hotel, but for what it's worth, I'm noting my experience here so other non-EU customers are aware. We have a booking at Hôtel Demeure Loredana and were genuinely looking forward to our stay, having planned a long journey from Southeast Asia to Corsica. Unfortunately, due to widespread air traffic controller strikes, we were notified that our flights were very likely to be cancelled—something completely outside of our control. We reached out to the hotel multiple times, explaining the situation and asking for a simple adjustment: to shorten our stay so we could still make it. To be clear, we were meant to fly from Rome to Corsica and without a flight, we would have to take a 4 hour train and then another 4 hour ferry so require an additional day in Italy on either end in order to be able to make it to Corsica and back to Rome to catch our outgoing flight. We were not asking for a refund, just a small change to help us salvage part of our trip. Despite this, the hotel has been completely inflexible and unempathetic. They continue to insist on charging for the full stay, even though we physically cannot arrive on time, for reasons beyond our control, despite them saying they "understand" the situation. *******, through whom we booked, confirmed they are willing to make the change if the hotel agrees—but the hotel refuses to cooperate. For a five-star establishment, this lack of compassion and unwillingness to accommodate guests facing genuine travel disruptions is incredibly disappointing, particularly as the hotel should be aware that it is not easy to get to Corsica and strikes abound in the summer. We are still trying to resolve this, but the experience so far has been stressful and disheartening. If you’re traveling from far away, I would strongly reconsider booking here."

"A nice hotel in the centre of town with parking we had a lovely balcony and comfy stay and reception is staffed til about 8pm gave us all advice we needed on touristy things. We did the boat trip to Saleccia [we had last two places so book the trip] and walked back to Lotu to take boat back we lucky and swopped to an earlier ride back as 3 hours in heat was enough to stay longer u need to take umbrellas and plenty water. From Saleccia as you alight look ahead for wood steps up off beach into forest rather than walk the coast/beach - shorter walk and the feel of the 'desert' . A good budget option nice size rooms. Classey."
