Karma St. Martin's is lauded for its friendly staff, stunning location, spacious beds, and beautiful sea views. However, some may find the coastal-inspired decor slightly limited.

There are Spa and Gym in the hotel introduction, but upon arrival, they were told that the Spa is closed and Gym is not in the hotel. The so-called private beach, just look at it. After we arrived at the Upper town pier, we finally experienced the feeling of a beach and the ebb and flow of the tide. The carpet in the hotel smells very bad, and the carpet in the room is not very clean. The breakfast is average, the dinner price is 40% higher than that of St. Mary Island, the taste is average, the fish is relatively firewood, and the beef in the Sunday roast should be synthetic meat. There is no free bottled mineral water in the room (the hotel is located in Low town, there are no restaurants or supermarkets around), the slippers need to be delivered by phone, and the front desk was not answered twice out of the three calls. When you need to take a boat to the outlying islands, the hotel recommends a fast boat. The same industry charges 50 pounds, and the hotel ranges from 65 pounds to 90 pounds. If you decide to take ferry off the island, you need to walk 30 minutes on the mountain road to the pier at the other end (upper town). The luggage can be delivered to the pier by the hotel. For guests, it is only picked up and not delivered, because the hotel does not provide taxi services. All in all, the hotel is not worth the price of more than 4,000 yuan a night.

The Karma experience never disappoints, Scott and his team were warm and welcoming as usual, they went the extra mile to check we were happy with everything. On my third visit this year I noted the refurbished bedrooms, new carpets, as well as the updated guest lounge where we enjoyed post-dinner drinks and superior views of the sunset. The new bar menu was superb and of course we indulged in the seafood platter, professionally prepared by the chef. Love it at Karma St Martin's, sheer bliss.

Just returned home from our 6th visit at Karma St Martin's, and it was as amazing as always. The hotel is in an idyllic setting and is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Scott and his team were friendly, professional, attentive, helpful and welcoming as usual, which puts you at ease straight away. The food is of a high standard and absolutely delicious. The bar menu has been an added bonus as it gives extra choice for those staying longer than a few days. The absolute best bit is that it's very doggie friendly, so your doggie can enjoy a wonderful holiday too. We've already booked to go back next year, which is testament to how amazing it is!

What an amazing hotel. Loved it!! Car to pick up your bags from the key, the. You can walk or if room grab a lift to the hotel. Check in was so welcoming. The staff really cannot so enough for you. Room was beautiful. Looking out onto the sea, idyllic. Food was perfection. I cannot praise the staff too much. The team all work very hard. This was a work trip, so unfortunately I only stayed one night, but I will be returning. Cannot thank the staff enough. Highly recommend. And the Island itself was a dream. Everyone was so friendly. Lovely walks and a pub to enjoy. If you haven’t been, put it on your bucket list.

Had a fabulous stay at the hotel in late October. Staff very friendly and although I hadn’t said I was disabled they moved our room downstairs and found a step for bath / shower as soon as they saw me with 2 walking sticks. We had booked it as an extra holiday with RCI so it was very reasonable and we couldn’t have afforded it otherwise. It’s worth noting that by the second week in October a lot of the places to eat are closed so it’s very limited choice if you are staying on ST Martins. As most of the Scilly Islands it’s expensive to eat out. Even the pub the Sevenstones inn was reducing its choice of food as it was winding down to winter opening. It’s worth checking out the Isles of Scilly Facebook pages as we found although Little Arthur’s was closed it had a fabulous charity event on that we ate at. Adam’s fish & chips were open one evening as well. To visit other islands you either have to go back to St Marys or use the trips arranged by Karma . These aren’t necessarily planned till the day before due to weather so it can be difficult to plan ahead. It costs roughly the same to go but it does use the fast boat so it was an experience! Karma were very kind when leaving the island as it was very wild weather and we were lucky enough to use the covered fast boat , others unfortunately weren’t! Our flights were cancelled so we had a night on St Marys - worth thinking about when planning as our inward flight was also cancelled and ended up with a stay at Penzance as well but no flight so had to travel on the Scillonian to get there. It was variable weather as expected in October & it was well worth booking a mobility scooter to use on the island- very reasonable at £10 a day as I can’t walk quickly or for long distances . Would love to visit the hotel again but not as late in the season!

As always a gorgeous stay. A lovely Island, perfect beach location and fabulously friendly staff. Food great and we had a lovely stay. The Hotel rooms do need updating, so don’t expect a 5 star luxury but it’s very clean and tidy and the positives far out weigh any negatives surrounding updates. A lovely stay, thank you ☺️

Karma St Martins has everything. The best location of any hotel in the nation, with white sands and tropical looking (!) seas flowing up to the front door. For me though it is the vibe of Karma St Martins that makes it so perfect. Everything you could need is here, yet the place is so relaxed, so effortless. I take off my shoes the day I arrive and never put them back on again.
