The hotel environment is very good, there is a place to eat and a bar downstairs. The wine in the bar is also very cheap, and hot water is provided for free. I will consider staying in the same hotel next time when I travel for business.

This hotel is absolutely lovely, myself and my company are now using this on the regular basis after such a good experience. The aesthetic is very comforting, so much effort put in to the detail, lovely classic traditional furnishing whilst being freshly decorated and very well looked after and clean. high quality for the price. Staff are very welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful. Lovely set up of fresh bottled water, tea coffee etc in the rooms. Beautiful open fire downstairs in the pub with fresh sandwiches served ! Lots of privacy and very quiet at night. No noise from pub below.

A stroll from home to this Black Country Ales pub. Great service. Guy behind the bar knows how to serve a pint of Pig on the Wall. Other beers available. Pleasant atmosphere. Large babs on sale with “help yourself salad”. Outside seating available.

This pub is a real treat. Excellent ales (and a fantastic selection, too) plus some excellent cask cider, friendly staff, and really nice decor and seating areas. I've passed Hanbury Turn many times, but never actually stopped for a cheeky one. I'm happy I did! The gaffer obviously knows his cellar, and the regulars seem friendly. Clean loos, nice outdoor area (despite being by a main road) with fresh flowers and good quality picnic benches, and it looks like they do accommodation as well... so if you fancy doing ALL the pumps, you can even stay the night! We'll be back, and next time, I'm not driving! I'm looking forward to trying the food... Menu is basic, but if the size and quality of the cobs is anything to go by, it will be pretty impressive!

We stayed at the Hanbury turn at the end of August just for one night. We had a funeral to attend. The pub is a local friendly pub with a good choice of ales and the room was nice and clean and well decorated. The landlord was very amenable and cooked our breakfast in the morning which was delicious and plentiful. No evening meals but the landlord directed us to a neighbouring pub/restaurant called the ‘Lamb and ewe’ 5 mins down the road where we had an amazing meal. I would thoroughly recommend. To cap it all, the night we arrived happened to be quiz night at the Hanbury and the landlord did an amazing job and we had a fab evening. The place was packed. We even came 2nd in the quiz and won some free drinks! What’s not to like

Booked to stay here via a known 3rd party booking site.. So I take part responsibility for what I now write.. But I do feel perhaps more interaction from staff would've helped.. Especially as I had also emailed location and had communication about arrival time.. Anyway.. Shown to room, and as far as actual room decor and bed, no problem.. Very well decorated.. Ensuite had a small issue because the toilet was directly opposite the towel radiator, so we had to sit awkwardly to use it.. Just a little strange concept and not best for passing No2... Now, having enquired about food, we were advised by venu that they didn't actually do main meals, just cobbs, pork pies etc etc.. So not a problem, there is a fantastic gastropub 5mins down the road walking.. So we all enjoyed a fabulous meal & drinks there instead of using this location.. So, now the frustration part.. The £85 room rate doesn't include a breakfast.. So I didn't read booking form right then.. And you must book breakfast ordering the night before so venue can organise it.. So, couldn't staff mention that on our arrival to pay for accommodation...? Or when we returned before going to bed after having a drink at the bar?? We asked what time was breakfast in the morning?, why didn't they say something like you've not ordered any breakfast... Anyway, we left on time as you must be out by 10am the following morning.. For us, the £85 wasn't really good value for money..at just room rate.. Add breakfast. You're now almost £100 And I judge this opinion on the many locations we've stayed at worldwide that for less you get a far superior room and breakfast.. The following evening, we stayed somewhere else at £5 more, with a larger room, with far superior ensuite..4poster bed, veranda , nice decked out area And that charge included breakfast.. So I understand a pub with rooms has to make a living, but the cost just wasn't justified in our opinion.. Staff were very polite, no issues there.. Would we stay again when visiting the area ? Sorry.. It's a NO...

We're lucky to have a traditional real ale pub as our local, and I must say, it's an absolute gem. There's a great selection of real ales, ciders and a relaxing fireside atmosphere that is perfect for unwinding after a long day or on a rainy day. Gary, Helen and the team always make you feel at home with their friendly and attentive service. Gary is a remarkable chef and really knows his way around the kitchen. His scotch eggs are out of this world, and his Sunday roast meat cobs with roast potatoes, pigs in blankets and real ale gravy are divine. They also offer a variety of meal options and theme nights throughout the week, including fresh bar snacks and quiz nights etc. Prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for a cosy pub with a good choice of real ales and ciders, a welcoming fireside atmosphere, and delicious food, look no further. Gary, Helen and the team have created the perfect local pub.
