The gift for March 8 was a success. The pool under the St. Petersburg sky is wonderful. The breakfast was a holiday!

The service is in place, the front desk and service staff are fluent in English, which is rare in Russia! The environment design is classical and elegant with Russian style, it is highly recommended to everyone.

First of all, this is far from being a gold brick, but a standard 5-star service. The standard 5-star service of the hotel next door should be gold brick, but they got it the other way around. The facilities are very nice, but a bit old. The room is very small, the bathroom is very large, the toothpaste was opened and spoiled, and there was a strange smell. However, the bathtub is the largest and most comfortable one I have had in the 10-plus nights in hotels in Russia. The bathtub is really amazing!

This is the first time I have given a negative review in many years. I just checked in on the first day and a coatfish was so scared that it would climb on the box and trample it to death immediately. However, they refused to admit it and tried to communicate and negotiate three times. In addition, the child accidentally touched it the night before. When the chocolate came back, the sheets were not changed, but they turned me over inside. I really didn’t realize it unless I turned over the quilt so hard that I couldn’t find it. I was speechless. Even after collecting the cups in the room, I didn’t even take them back. The longer I stayed, the fewer quilts I had. I don’t know how poor I am. Why are you still laughing at me because I only know a little bit of English? I really don’t know what you have to be proud of. I’m Chinese and I won’t communicate with you in English. What’s wrong? I understand, but I won’t speak. I’ll just speak Chinese. You go on your own. The translator said that they all thought that a bug was such a big fuss. The hotel industry in China is many times better than yours. Too bad never go again! ! !

Fortunately or unfortunately, my review of the Taleon Hotel will definitely be detailed and exhaustive. I am writing in the hope that my notes may be useful to someone. So, first things first: 1) The location is excellent, the hotel overlooks Nevsky Prospekt and the Moika River embankment. Therefore, some rooms have excellent views of the city. 2) Rooms. We took a superior room with a view of the city, and were completely satisfied - a very beautiful entourage, and the view from the balcony is beyond praise. The hotel itself occupies the site of a former mansion, hence the very beautiful corridors, the chic main staircase, stucco, decorations, etc. It is a pleasure for the eye! 3) Breakfast cannot but be praised, I would even say that the pearl of the hotel is in front of the guests. The widest range of food - you will get tired of listing ... There are signature desserts, several types of sausages and champagne, cheeses, caviar, Italian sausages and much, much more! You can also order an omelet, fried eggs or eggs Benedict, juices. The breakfast is impressive, your eyes will run wild from the abundance. 4) The SPA complex, in general, also left a pleasant impression. There is an obvious minus in the form of a swimming pool that needs repair, everything else is good. On the terrace you can leisurely relax, sunbathe, admire the spire of the Admiralty, the quadriga of the General Staff... Of the complaints, I can also note the strange situation with the champagne ordered for the pool. Each time we made an order, they brought us flat champagne, each time we asked for a replacement, and so on in a circle day after day, while we lived in the hotel! I do not want to write that, in general, it is surprising to serve guests such champagne (or the remains of a bottle), but what was the problem not to repeat the same mistake over and over again? 5) Nevertheless, the hotel staff left mostly negative impressions. This is a fly in the ointment. Situation one. Late in the evening of 10.07.2024, the hotel began to shake from the terribly loud music coming from the 3rd floor (we lived on the 5th, but it was still impossible to sleep because of the noise, and we were tired from the road). I don’t want to think about how the guests of the 3rd and 4th floors endured this bacchanalia... I’m not kidding - the walls shook from the noise! ​​It turned out that someone’s birthday was being celebrated at the hotel. This is all great, of course, but why should guests who paid a lot of money for their stay worry about being able to get a good night’s sleep in their own room? The next morning, we asked to call the administrator, to which an extremely unfriendly and rude girl at the reception named Julia asked: “Why do you need it?” I don’t want to comment on this tone and question, I’ll better continue. The administrator was never found, supposedly he went to some meeting, and why did he leave at all (doubtful, but okay). Yulia responded to our complaints: "Well, you can make noise until 11 pm, let's say, in an apartment. Well, it's the same in a hotel!" Dear managers of the Taleon Hotel, please, regulate the situation with the reception girls! They are the face of the hotel, after seeing which you don't want to come back!

В целом хороший номер и отель, очень удачно расположенный практически в близи от всех достопримечательностей. Вход в отель со стороны Мойки, а ориентир - булочная Вольчика на углу Мойки и Невского. Интересный переход от шума и гама у входа к тишине внутри отеля. Расположение позволяет гулять в любое время, пройтись к Неве, посмотреть развод мостов и белые ночи. Номер достаточно большой, ванная с окном, есть и душ, и ванна. Но есть и недостатки: в душевой кабине пахнет затхлостью, слишком громкое кондиционирование, экономия отеля на мелочах (нет расчески и бритвенного набора, блокнота и карандаша/ручки). Постель и подушки - ок. Завтрак хорош, несколько видов рыбы, красная икра, очень хорошая молочка, в том числе козий йогурт и творог, несколько вполне приличных, но заранее приготовленных блюд. А вот свежую яичницу только по запросу у официанта, приносят, но в итоге холодная. Кофе хороший, шампанское советское. Очень рекомендую бассейн и спа, утром почти полностью свободно. Но хотелось бы, чтобы открывали пораньше (сейчас с 8.00), а закрывали попозже, чтобы можно было зайти утром или после завершения дня.
