Tru by Hilton St. Petersburg Downtown Central Ave

Not even a welcoming bottle of water. No tea or coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was meager with very few choices. Water for tea in breakfast area was more like lukewarm than hot water. The pillows and mattress in the room were so soft it cannot support your body, you just sank into the bed. It was impossible to program the TV. Weak wifi for guests who are not members. The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

The workers are attentive, rooms are clean, great water pressure. Breakfast is included and free water/tea/coffee throughout the day. Overall we had a great stay here.

I loved the stay. The room was a little smaller than I’m used to. The parking garage only was a little different ( almost like being in NYC ) overall the hotel was in the heart of downtown and you could get most places by walking. I would recommend.

It’s a good stay. We were comfortable the whole time. It’s right on Central so you’re walking to restaurants and bars easily. The valet parking is $40 but you can park on the street. The caveat is you have to move the vehicle every two hours. Free breakfast and helpful staff. It’s a good. Like 4.7 stars

The front desk and housekeeping staff as well as the people who took care of the breakfast buffet are all so courteous and friendly. Ameer was especially helpful with our check in and was always courteous.

A clean, affordable (at least when the Rays are out of town!) hotel in a great neighborhood! There's a wading pool instead of a real pool and the rooms are a bit tight. Beds are comfortable, shower is great, breakfast is very good, staff is friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. Only thing I didn't like was that overnight parking has gone up to $40, plus tax! And then of course, you have to tip the guy. On balance though, a stay here is a good experience.

Our room was not cleaned daily. The second elevator was out of service. Given that it was a Holiday weekend and the hotel was full, more effort should have been made to have the elevator in service.
