Spotlessly clean, beautiful furnishings, warm friendly hosts . A lovely welcoming pre dinner drink, followed by a delicious four course meal of great quality and presentation- I can’t praise it enough. Lovely to sit round a table with the other guests. This accommodation was the best we have stayed so far in France including time in Paris. The host and hostess are truly accommodating and speak very good English. The dinner that night was like eating in a 1 star Michelin restaurant with 5 courses. We were early to the establishment and were welcomed and could sit in the beautiful gardens, with beer and wine brought out as refreshments. I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Slyvie and Thierry Tres tres bon !!!

Staying with Thierry and Sylvie was one of the highlights of our holiday in France. They are the perfect hosts, they are very friendly and helpful and work extremely hard to make sure that their guests are comfortable. The house, bedroom and bathroom were great, and Sylvie's incredible cooking and Thierry's bread were outstanding. We really enjoyed talking to the other guests too. We have no hesitation in recommending you visit Le Clos des Pierres Rouges.

Your stay begins with a welcome by Thierry and Sylvie and a tour of their beautiful home. Everything has been thought to make a guest comfortable. Exercise room for stretching after a day of hiking, tea and coffee in the "chambre" and a wonderful shower. Guests are invited to relax in the lounge downstairs while Thierry offers a local specialty aperitif with chestnut liqueur. The menu for dinner is local produce only and we are treated to the story of each course's provenance while we savour the superb food. Sylvie's cuisine is complimented by bread made fresh by Thierry from local wheat. An immersive experience in the commune of the Haut-Loire, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A truly memorable stop as we walked the Chemin de Saint Jacques.
