Mercure Saint Raphael Centre Plage

Mercure Saint Raphael Centre Plage

📍 101 Prom. René Coty, Saint-Raphael
★★★★ 8.7 (61 reviews)

"This isn't my first time at the hotel. Everything is up to par. The price is high, but it's comfortable. I didn't like that there were no slippers. Apparently, they had to request them. I brought my own. The breakfast was good. Omelet. Fruit. I liked the melons. The crossweeds were delicious. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. I didn't like that during the first breakfast, the employee tried to prove to me that I hadn't paid for it. He put it down twice. It ruined my appetite. He was certainly mistaken, but this should be a bonus for me now. I mentioned this, but there was no reaction. The staff is friendly. I don't remember the name of the girl in particular. She was young. The hotel is recommended."

"Wow, First, one of the great locations. You feel that you are on a boat looking down at the sea. Second the natural sea water pool is fantastic. Third the service and food were great. We truly hope to be able to come back. Although for sure the hotel is "Haute" riviera it is understated and you won't see many folks showing off their brands."

"This hotel is absolutely stunning, its location, private beach and immaculate grounds are designed for calm and privacy. The team at the hotel are charming, friendly and will always go the extra mile. We dined at the restaurant which was excellent. Our stay embodied the romance of the South of France and we will be returning soon to this lovely haven."

Sowell Hotels la Plage

Sowell Hotels la Plage

📍 3235 Rte de la Corniche, Saint-Raphael
★★★★ 8.2 (52 reviews)

"Located on the outskirts of Saint-Raphael, the hotel offers quite a nice accommodation experience for families. Please note that there is a small beach close by, though as it is common for this region, it is a gravel beach. A wonderful sand beach is around 30 minutes away by car. Rooms were ok, staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was not the best though - not enough variety of vegetarian options, almost no vegan options, and sadly not enough good french cheese. Overall however, it was quite nice. "

"We had an apartment in the family block bit, the balcony was spacious and the room was big and clean. The rooftop pool was quite cold (in April) but lovely views and nice views from the terrace bit with seating. We used the other pool too, which was heated and really enjoyed this. We got here by public transport and used the train to get around from Boulouris-sur-mer which was about a 15-20 minute walk, you can get all the way to Menton and Marseille from here. Might be easier to drive from the airport but there was a direct bus route to Saint Raphael and then we took a 10 minute taxi to hotel. No complaints here"

Hôtel et Appart Hôtel les Flots Bleus Hotels in Saint-Raphael

Hôtel et Appart Hôtel les Flots Bleus

"This hotel is right by the beach at the Calanque of Altheor, but also underneath the historic train viaduct. So there is noise around this hotel but the motorbikes on the road are the most annoying, you don’t really notice the trains. We wanted a room with a kitchenette and that’s why we chose this hotel. Once upon a time it obviously had a restaurant but now it only does breakfast and the rooms seem to have been converted mostly to small studios with facilities. There is adequate shaded parking. The room was very modern and fresh with plenty of storage, good lighting, a modern bathroom and new kitchenette as well as a nice balcony. From our room overlooking the beach we could hear the waves lapping on the shore. The kitchenette is well thought out with a hob, microwave and even a mini dishwasher. A decent supply of crockery and utensils as well as washing up liquid and salt and pepper. There was a Nespresso machine but we were only given 2 capsules for 3 days. We used the kettle. There is a safe in the room which is handy for going to the beach or using the small but very pleasant heated pool. The beach was raked every morning and never got too busy while we were there. Breakfast was included and was a good quality typical French one with cereal, some fruit, lovely bread, yogourts, cheese, eggs and cold meat. It was served on the very attractive terrace. It must have been a lovely restaurant. You are about 2 miles from Agay with restaurants and basic services (and a good launderette) and a bit further from St Raphael for decent supermarkets and services. You can drive up onto the Massif d’Esterel where there are great views and walks, but there isn’t much you can walk to from the hotel. However the train seems to stop regularly at Antheor and the station is about 10 minutes walk so you would not have to be dependent on the car. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and its surroundings."

Sowell Residences Chênes Verts Hotels in Saint-Raphael

Sowell Residences Chênes Verts

"We had a wonderful holiday at Les Chenes Verts! The rooms are quite tired and dated (we only paid for the basic room) but are clean and the beds were comfortable. The So'inclusive package was brilliant and we loved being able to either eat lunch there or pack a picnic at breakfast to take with us on hikes/days out. There is also 'gouter' at 4pm with cakes and aperos at 6:30 with a cocktail of the day and nibbles before dinner. The dinner itself was excellent with a different set of main courses each night, including things like mussels, salmon, chicken kebabs etc. The desserts were my son's favourite and he managed a plateful each night! The heated pool was brilliant. We were lucky with beautiful weather for October but the heating was still appreciated. We also borrowed boules one day for a fun game on the pitch. The hotel's location in excellent and we enjoyed sitting on the rooftop terrace with a cocktail taking in the views of the med. Lots to do in the area - we took the train to Monaco for the day, explore the Massif Esterel on some stunning hikes, visited the Verdon gorge and spent time in Frejus/St Raphael. So good we're planning to return next year!"

Le Touring Hotels in Saint-Raphael

Le Touring

"5 stars posted, 3 deserved. Non-existent double glazing, the first two nights without sleeping. We were exhausted and needed to rest. So after the 1st night we anticipated by asking them to accept an early departure free of charge if the second night was like the 1st. This was the case, the marching band until midnight. We wanted to shorten 3 nights, the answer was no. I asked for someone from management to come and see the sound of the brass band under the windows at 11:30 p.m. but obviously no one came. Don't look for the manager, he is non-existent, yet he passed by us. With 10 rooms in all in the hotel I think he knew who we were. You know Mr. Manager, if you had deigned to meet dissatisfied customers things would have been said and not written here. This is a miscalculation on your part. When I explained my noise problem to the receptionist, his response was astonishing: "yes, but Madam, you are booking a hotel in the city center! you had to find out first! “It is well known, in the center of NY or Paris, customers who book in hotels do not sleep!!!! I'm dumb !!!! They are downtown! Ridiculous breakfast (see photo), non-existent sense of service. The only ones who deserve kudos are the ladies who take care of the rooms as well as the young man in the outside bar in the morning (who worked at Costes). The Director would have a lot to learn from this gentleman in terms of dress, customer orientation and professionalism. Don't expect 5 stars, it's not."

Hôtel de l'Esterel Pierre & Vacances Hotels in Saint-Raphael

Hôtel de l'Esterel Pierre & Vacances

"Several stays in this hotel but this one is complicated and surely the last one... the hotel's air conditioning makes a lot of noise but not much cold, set to 18 to have 26 in the room. Complaint forwarded to reception for a technician to come but no response... I don't even know if anyone came!! in fact it is the same age as the building, 35 years old and in serious need of renewal Reserved a covered parking lot but no badge available for access parking great pierre et vacances!! Overcrowded swimming pool no deckchairs available even the paid ones at 20 euros per day... Breakfast 16€ good lots of choice The competition offers services at better quality price, do not hesitate to consult elsewhere before booking with a big money machine that is pierre et vacances... We are from Pigeons before being vacationers!!!!"

Mercure Saint Raphael Centre Plage ★★★★
"Very good little hotel in the center of the town. Friendly reception staff. Our room was bigger than I expected with good bedding and bathroom amenities. The heating system is set on very warm, but you can easily turn it off and it becomes comfortable to sleep at night. Breakfast is western style and has many different yummy foods to choose from. I was impressed with the variety of teas Palais Des Thés that you can brew yourself. This tea is the best tea in France and world famous!"

"Fabulous location, service, loved it. Pools sensational. Hotel restaurant was great, just ate at the casual one. Plenty of restaurants nearby. One on the beach a ten minute walk from the hotel for drinks and snacks and casual meal. Only improvement would be a better poolside lunch menu."

La Villa Mauresque ★★★★★
"Checked in the villa yesterday night, for our wedding anniversary. We booked a junior suite and ended up with the worst suite we’ve ever experienced in a hotel with this budget, the Oscar Wilde. The room is entirely closed, with no views on the outside, no window in the sleeping room, and with no intimacy. The claimed sea view is only when you actually leave the room, to go on the terrace, with zero intimacy again as you’re fully exposed to the walking areas and the pool. Avoid ground floor rooms at all cost when you book here. We asked to be refunded 50-75% of our stay and leave, which the hotel declined, offering a unique solution, an upgrade but… a paying one, to a higher category. Basically it was 2:00am, no other options available in Côte d’Azur at that time of the year, and the hotel gave us the option between the cave room and paying €400-500 more per night to upgrade. As we were held hostages in this situation, and as the Oscar Wilde room is not designed for everyone, we ended up upgrading so that we don’t ruin our whole holiday experience, even if we were clear with the hotel team that we weren’t at all happy with the situation and paying so much to get a proper room matching our expectations (everybodys one actually -meaning a view and light), but - the way it looks, we won’t be coming back, for sure - this has to be the worst value for money rooms we’ve experienced in our frequent travelers life - if you end up booking here because like us, you only read the positive reviews and visited the website, ask for a room on the first floor, not on the ground, and insist on the view, they’re unequal. Hopefully the rest of our stay goes well and we end up changing our minds"

"The Riviera aparthotel is truly a lovely place, very comfortable with excellent amenities. Our apartment on the 2nd floor had a sea view and was well located within the Sowell holiday complex. It offered hotel-like services, including daily housekeeping. The housekeeping staff, and especially the restaurant and bar staff, were delightful, very polite, and dedicated; you only have to see them working hard to be helpful. Thank you again!"
