"We stayed for 1 night in June 2025. Staff very helpful, rooms clean with nice view of sea from balcony. Parking at front of hotel was no problem. We were also permitted to leave our baggage with reception and use the pool facilities before we checked in. Our experience was nothing like the other negative reviews on here, and was very good value for the South of France."

"This hotel is right by the beach at the Calanque of Altheor, but also underneath the historic train viaduct. So there is noise around this hotel but the motorbikes on the road are the most annoying, you don’t really notice the trains. We wanted a room with a kitchenette and that’s why we chose this hotel. Once upon a time it obviously had a restaurant but now it only does breakfast and the rooms seem to have been converted mostly to small studios with facilities. There is adequate shaded parking. The room was very modern and fresh with plenty of storage, good lighting, a modern bathroom and new kitchenette as well as a nice balcony. From our room overlooking the beach we could hear the waves lapping on the shore. The kitchenette is well thought out with a hob, microwave and even a mini dishwasher. A decent supply of crockery and utensils as well as washing up liquid and salt and pepper. There was a Nespresso machine but we were only given 2 capsules for 3 days. We used the kettle. There is a safe in the room which is handy for going to the beach or using the small but very pleasant heated pool. The beach was raked every morning and never got too busy while we were there. Breakfast was included and was a good quality typical French one with cereal, some fruit, lovely bread, yogourts, cheese, eggs and cold meat. It was served on the very attractive terrace. It must have been a lovely restaurant. You are about 2 miles from Agay with restaurants and basic services (and a good launderette) and a bit further from St Raphael for decent supermarkets and services. You can drive up onto the Massif d’Esterel where there are great views and walks, but there isn’t much you can walk to from the hotel. However the train seems to stop regularly at Antheor and the station is about 10 minutes walk so you would not have to be dependent on the car. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and its surroundings."

"5 stars posted, 3 deserved. Non-existent double glazing, the first two nights without sleeping. We were exhausted and needed to rest. So after the 1st night we anticipated by asking them to accept an early departure free of charge if the second night was like the 1st. This was the case, the marching band until midnight. We wanted to shorten 3 nights, the answer was no. I asked for someone from management to come and see the sound of the brass band under the windows at 11:30 p.m. but obviously no one came. Don't look for the manager, he is non-existent, yet he passed by us. With 10 rooms in all in the hotel I think he knew who we were. You know Mr. Manager, if you had deigned to meet dissatisfied customers things would have been said and not written here. This is a miscalculation on your part. When I explained my noise problem to the receptionist, his response was astonishing: "yes, but Madam, you are booking a hotel in the city center! you had to find out first! “It is well known, in the center of NY or Paris, customers who book in hotels do not sleep!!!! I'm dumb !!!! They are downtown! Ridiculous breakfast (see photo), non-existent sense of service. The only ones who deserve kudos are the ladies who take care of the rooms as well as the young man in the outside bar in the morning (who worked at Costes). The Director would have a lot to learn from this gentleman in terms of dress, customer orientation and professionalism. Don't expect 5 stars, it's not."

Village Pierre & Vacances Cap Esterel

"Shaby apartment with loose door handles and mini-moo bathroom, ridiculously small for four (and meant for 5!) with a ‘bed’ on which it’s impossible to sleep without banging your head. Music from L’ecole du cirque nearby guaranteed until 23:00PM with no apologies: you can book activities with l’Ecole du cirque (making you think there is a kind of partnership between the two, so things like noise level can be negotiated) but when it comes to aforementioned noise level being way too high and going on while you try to sleep: “L’Ecole du cirque is independent and has nothing to do with Pierre et vacances”. What a joke!!!! There is no airco in the rooms either and if you try to sleep on your balcony to get some fresh air, be aware that your neighbours are allowed to speak until any time of the night and of course smoke (cigar included) as they wish! We’re in the 21st century but Pierre et Vacances has not yet integrated the concept of “No Noise after 23:00pm” and a no smoking policy on the balconies while creating smoking areas FAR from where people live and sleep. People and kids shout on the streets when going back to their accommodation at night, some hairs were found on two pillows when we arrived, music and entertainment is a must of the village until 23:00 (too bad if you have a migraine that night!). I was very nostalgic of Pierre et Vacances, which my parents booked to go skiing when I was a child. This experience has cured me of my nostalgia for good. Fortunately, the staff is friendly. That makes me feel a bit better. Ps: Pierre et Vacances please pass on this comment to L’Ecole du Cirque so that next year they may think of starting earlier…. And finish earlier too!!"

"We spent 15 days in this apartment in the center of the village, well placed. The whole apartment is to refresh as well as the furniture. Put a washing machine instead of the washing vapour and put a microwave instead of the oven."

"I stayed here for 4 nights in September 2023. It was mostly a positive experience. I found the room cute and comfortable, and I liked that it was a small establishment. The outdoor seating areas were also good, and I thought the price was reasonable. I thought the location was just OK. If you don’t have a car, there isn’t a huge amount to do nearby. The train station is a short walk away but I found the trains to be quite infrequent. The less good bits were that I heard quite a lot of noise while in my room (plumbing sounds, doors opening and closing, etc.). The checkin procedure is a little strange, and I had trouble with the wifi - I could only get it to work when sitting on the terrace. Also, the shower and toilet offer limited privacy - I was staying on my own, but it could be awkward if sharing with someone else."

"Price vs. Quality of the room. The room standard represented 90's. Sofa in the living room was unconfortable, old and shabby with two different levels of sleeping - not acceptable for adults. The 2 AC were working with an annoying noise. No plates, dishes and silverware - big disadvantage, especially, when there was lack of info on the page and in a reservation confirmation (however, it would be too late as it is quite decisive factor) before driving 1200 km and thinking what to bring with us. Ants in the kitchen. Recommendations: refurbish the room and bring it to the XXI century. Other points. The all-inclusive hours for bar were too short - not only my opinion but other guests, especially, as the hotel is located in an suburbs of the town deprived from any other nearby bars and restaurants.You may have earned more, if the bar was open longer. Strong point in plus was the buffet breakfast and lunch with its variety of dishes (except from Sunday - it looked like collection of leftovers from the week - apologies for my harsh comment on that but it was our departure day and based on the previous day s we were very optimistic, but eventually, very disappointed). In fact, the catering saved lots of the yellow stars I gave in my opinion. Recommendation: keep the high standard of the catering throught the week."
