Our room (actually a suite) was wonderful and quite large. The entire facility is wonderful. The house is beautiful and apparently has an interesting history going back to the 18th century. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this B&B.

What an amazing location. Clean and beautiful. The grounds and both gardens were stunning. Parking was close and easy. Our hosts/owners were amazing gracious people. Delicious breakfast and hospitable. And Scott was a bonus. Highly recommend

Comfortable room. Very peaceful and relaxing environment. Good breakfast. Superb and charming hosts Samantha and Philippe. Memorable stay I would return without hesitation! The hotel is located close to Dinan, in quiet and picturesque countryside.

From the minute you arrive your hostess Samantha makes you feel most welcome in her gorgeous home/hotel. Tastefully furnished - lovely bedroom with a very comfortable bed and a stylish bathroom with a walk in shower. Breakfast is an amazing repast including homemade apple juice and yoghurt. All tastes catered for. Everything supplied is of the highest quality. Samantha is a wonderful source of information of where to visit and what to see in the area. Couldn’t recommend this beautiful property more highly. We were very sad to leave.

Had the most wonderful 3 night stay at La Meffrais. Samantha (and Philippe) were excellent hosts and made sure everything was to our liking. Nothing was too much trouble and Samantha was especially patient with me trying to improve my French! The house and gardens are enchanting and there is so much to do in the surrounding area that I feel another visit coming on! Thank you again and au revoir!

Samantha and Philippe are the most wonderful hosts. Their home is delightful and our room was lovely, comfortable bed and views over the garden . Excellent breakfast , eggs cooked to your liking too. They make their own preserves and apple juice from their orchards, just delicious. Highly recommend. Thank you both.

My wife and I spent one night at La Meffrais 1741 during our two-week tour of Brittany. Samantha is an excellent host and the house has been beautifully restored to a very high standard. We were lucky that table d'hote was offered the night of our visit and dinner was excellent. Samantha offered a small selection of quite good, but reasonably-priced wines with dinner. We choose the sweet breakfast of pastries, yogurt, juice and hot drinks, all of high quality. "Quality" seems to be the emphasis of La Meffrais, and it applies to the bed and bathroom furnishings, the common areas, the surrounding grounds, and the meal offerings. Our one regret was that we spent too little time at La Meffrais. It would be the perfect "home base" for touring Dinan, Mont St. Michel, Cancale, and St. Malo over a 4-5 day period.

Le Meffrais, Dinan An amazingly relaxing stay in this olde worlde manor of just five bedrooms. Samantha was a great host and provided good tips for eating out in the local port. The breakfast was delicious with homegrown melon and strawberries, one of the best on a two week trip staying at lots of venues! A really nice area, with lots of good cycling to Port Dinard and Port Dinan and a beautiful garden to chill in after! Superb bedroom and brand new bathroom, all spotless. Well done!

Our stay at La Meffrais 1741 was much too brief. It is a charming property run by Samantha & her partner Philippe, who could not have been more welcoming. It is full of character in a most attractive garden setting with beautiful furnishings. We were very happy with our delightful room which led into an intimate garden. We arrived much later than planned, however, Samantha organised for us to join other guests on the garden terrace for dinner. A superb meal with convivial company. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending La Meffrais and hope to return one day ourselves.
