An amazing place to spend time with friends, family, or as a couple. You’re warmly welcomed by the owners, Annie and Pedro, who provide you with detailed information about the area and how your stay will unfold. This place is a gem, well-maintained, and every detail is meticulously attended to by the owners. The rooms are super clean, the shower is fantastic, and the beds are very comfortable. One thing I fell in love with was the breakfast—OMG, it’s delicious and made with local products and ingredients. Enjoy a nice coffee on the terrace while admiring the beautiful scenery, or sip a refreshing drink while watching the sunset. There’s plenty of parking available, too. The location is ideal: within walking distance to the water, the Lumberjack Museum, and even the Marine Restaurant, where you can try the best pizza. At the river, you can take a bath, go kayaking, sunbathe, or read a good book. The museum’s restaurant offers a good menu featuring local products, and on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, you can enjoy live music from special guests. Grandes-Piles is 20 minutes from La Maurice National Park, where you can hike, kayak, visit the beach, bike, or even camp. It’s also just 20 minutes from Shawinigan. You won’t regret it! Give yourself the opportunity to experience this amazing place with great company. Thank you, Annie and Pedro, for making our stay so wonderful.
