Best Hotels in Sala Dan, Thailand

Stayed here as part of two families travelling round Thailand, with 3 young children in tow. Really family friendly and had a lovely infinity pool which overlooks the sunset every evening. Room - cute bungalow type rooms with basic essentials. AC worked well and WiFi in rooms with a lovely balcony to relax on. On a steep hill but nothing too far. Breakfast - tasty and fairly basic but does the job! We ate a few lunches here and the food was great including the beach bar. Spa - best massage we had in Thailand! Beautiful relaxing semi outside area with the breeze blowing in and birds tweeting. Friendly staff and highly recommend!

A hotel with a beautiful garden by a very nice beach. Nice swimming pools, normal food, nothing fancy. However, in Thailand it is best to be in the city. The rooms are very large, you have to wait a bit for hot water, but I assume that in Ko Lancia they don't know the water circulation system 🙈 The hotel is worth recommending, definitely a plus, as a starting point for various trips around Ko Lanta and the surrounding islands. Ko Lanta itself, I am delighted with the climate, views, cuisine, and very nice Thai people. From trips I recommend snorkeling or diving to Ko Ha, Ko Bida, Phi Phi. Super kayak trip in the Andaman sea and mangrove forests. A visit to the elephant sanctuary is also interesting. Trips bought at local offices, much cheaper than from Itaka's office. Thailand is amazing, I will definitely come back to it.

We arrived to the Twin Lotus Resort, a day early of our booking, and the resort was able to accommodate us. We stayed in private plunge pool suite and thought it was quite nice and private. The resort is on a beautiful long stretch of beach, great for walking as it is very flat, quiet and peaceful. The breakfast included was large and good and we had one meal in the beachfront restaurant, which we found expensive compared to nearby restaurants and the food was average. The infinity pool and grounds are well-kept and very pretty. There is two other pool areas that we did not use. We were surprised to learn (and excited ) that the last two nights of our stay, we were upgraded to a beachfront bungalow, because of a minor toilet issue in our first room. It was a lovely room and so nice to be close to the beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here in early January. The room was a good size with plenty of storage space (and we don't travel lite),the bathroom was also a good size, we stayed in a luxury bungalow near the beach. There was lots of choice of food at breakfast time including Thai. The staff at breakfast were always checking that the food containers were full, a member of the staff we got talking to was a lovely man called P Lung and he also speaks very good English, he spoke to us most days. We had a few minor problems during our holiday but when we reported them to reception they were dealt with very quickly indeed. I would like to make a constructive comment or two, I think that every pair of sunbeds should have an umbrella with them and also to releive the pressure on the pool near the restaurant (nearly all the sunbeds were taken by 9.00am) more sunbeds and umbrellas could be put around the newer pool as I only counted 9 pairs of sunbeds and 4 umbrellas with lots of unused space. The 7.00am to 7.00pm rule should be strictly enforced. This hotel overall is good value for money but very popular with families with children who some parents allow them to run around and make a lot of noise without telling them to be a little bit more quiet.

I like to choose this one in a single-family cabin. Close to the long beach, it is estimated that the long beach will take 2 hours to walk back and forth, really long. It’s not bad to drive a motorcycle here, because Lanta Island is very big, I want to go to the national park and the old town a bit far, of course, you can also stop the tuk tuk on the roadside to hang out. The hotel is very compact, with a swimming pool and beautiful photos. There is air conditioning and hot water, and the service is still possible.

“Nice Resort on Long Beach” Want a Sands is a nice resort on one of the best beaches in Thailand. Pool Access room was excellent and the buffet breakfast was very good. Lots of variety for either western or Thai food and very tasty. The staff at the resort are top-notch. Derek the manager and his team are committed to you enjoying your stay at the resort. Lots of families at the resort but also a great location for couples wanting to experience a wonderful resort on a beautiful beach in Koh Lanta. Highly recommend “Fabulous location on the beach! ” Fabulous hotel overall. Fantastic location next to the beach, and there was so many pools to use. We had a room with pool access and it was fantastic. The only thing, I wish the fitness room would’ve been slightly bigger but it was still good. Would definitely stay here again! All the staff at reception were lovely and made sure to always help when it was needed! Definitely recommend.

The most satisfying hotel of this Tyrande trip is the Layana Hotel on Koh Lanta. It is quiet and comfortable. It is only for adults. The beach is 40 minutes away from the room. The restaurant is also facing the sea. The breakfast is rich in variety , Watching the sea while eating delicious food is so healing! Sindee, the hotel housekeeper, is a Chinese who has worked in Thailand for many years. He is warm and kind, which makes us feel very safe. The other hotel staff are also very enthusiastic. Our flight time is just in line with the hotel pick-up time, and the pick-up girls have hotels The nanny car picked us up, and the general manager came out to see us off before we left. Next time I have a chance to visit Koh Lanta, I would like to continue to live here. The price/performance ratio is very high!

Travel by the company. Travel to Lantu was spontaneous and did not understand where to book better, stayed at Tamarind Lanta Resort combined with Tamarind Twin Resort. Large, clean rooms, well-functioning air conditioning and 24-hour swimming pool. The area is cozy and green. The price includes breakfast. The cafe where breakfast is held was not impressed, periodically pulled something out of the side. Breakfast is good and if you take dishes at another time of the day, it is also delicious. Before the sea minutes 7. The beach is delighted. Tours to Old Town, long bord on islands and transfer took to the recession, everything was very much liked. Facilities: complete. There was a power outage one day. It took three hours to fix it. We were changed to another room at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. We didn't ask for it and didn't care. We didn't change it and almost died of heat. Hygiene: Satisfied, I forgot to clean up the room for us after a day out Environment: very good. It is divided into two parts, the upper part and the lower part. There is a sea view on the mountain, and a room directly connected to the swimming pool at the bottom. Lovely bungalows built up high with a seating area underneath. Nice wooden reception and restaurant with a good menu. They also have a little coffee bar that serves great coffee. Excellent enertainment on the beach on Saturday night with a fire show and decent DJ. The beach is awesome too.
