UHC Salou Pacific Apartments

I know you get what you pay for but oh my word this was cheap and not cheerful. The rooms were shabby but clean. Who ever thought bright orange was a great colour for decor was wrong. The beds were solid and only had a sheet covering so sleep wasn't comfortable when it finally became quiet enough to sleep. It was so unbelievably noisy that it was impossible to sleep. The pool area was nice and clean,we enjoyed a stress free day enjoying the sun.

Ok, I booked this on a whim! With Love Holidays... A last minute deal, so I wasn’t expecting any thrills, along with my partner and our two girls off we went for a week. On arrival I had to pay a deposit of €80 of which I was aware, and happy to do so... ( I’ll come back to that shortly).. We were given our bedding sheets at the reception, and that was the last time we saw fresh sheets all week, We found the staff unapproachable, when I questioned whether we would receive fresh towels regularly’ I was told yes for an additional €2 a towel! The towels were the size of a handkerchief lol... We bought additional beach towels to get us through our personal hygiene dilemma! The apartments were basic, cracked or chipped tiles were evident in places’ the divide between apartments on the balcony was reinforced glass’ ours was cracked. The apartment was never cleaned’ I’ve stayed in apartments lots of times in my earlier holiday years and apartments were always cleaned regularly’! On one occasion we were short on toilet paper, we approached a cleaner who then said we could have to seek a roll from the reception 5 floors below whilst she had an abundance on her trolley next to her!🤦‍♂️! We bought our own toilet roll and we’re happy to do so, however in a emergency they simply wasn’t interested. No security boxes in rooms’ and although 5 floors up I was forced to pay for a security box as our sliding doors didn’t shut properly. The reception smelled funny on entry, these apartments were suited for students as there was plenty’ but it wasn’t loud or rowdy. Ok on leaving this hotel I NEVER RECEIVED MY DEPOSIT? I STILL HAVEN’T HAD MY DEPOSIT REFUNDED’ and on my return a further £17.00 had come our of my bank account! We left the room in the best condition possible, we stay in hotels regularly and have paid deposits and have always got them back with no problem’ I feel cheated and have been ripped off. LOVE HOLIDAYS SHOULD RETURN MY DEPOSIT IF THE HOTEL WONT’ I will never book another holiday with them after this, and I warn anyone going here to not expect much, 2 stars it says’ it’s punching 1 if I’m honest! I stayed in better places during my 18/30s holidays in the 90s... GIVE ME MY DEPOSIT BACK!
