Travelled over for a girls trip. Beautiful location, beaches, supermarkets and restaurants all available around. Lovely budget friendly apartment obviously its not gonna be like a 5 star hotel but you have everything you need. Hot water, utensils, clean sheets, wifi, electricity. Maintenance was quick to come and help with any issues. Friendly staff that helped us get by as we did not know Spanish😅 10/10 Would recommend any day. 300€ deposit was refunded back to us, just made sure everything is as is was when you checked in. Would definitely go back again. Downside is you have to pay for early or late check in, as well as iron, toaster etc

*The Pros* This was probably the nicest room we've ever stayed in for a budget hotel. We were in a two bedroom apartment and it was very modern and clean with lots of space. We were impressed with a full four seater table and chairs on the large balcony in addition to the four seater dining table. Plenty of room in the kitchen area as well, a decent sized shower, comfy beds, spare bed linen/blankets/quilts, and a large smart TV in the seating area (so you can log into your Netflix or other services if you like). Check-in was smooth and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms also use a key code, so no physical keys or key cards needed (meaning nothing to hand back when it comes to check-out time as well) The location of the hotel is fantastic. Step outside the door and there's the recycling bins a couple of hundred meters away on either side the road for you to put your rubbish in and then the beaches are a five minute walk away. There's also a small shop opposite the hotel entrance for your basics, or the proper supermarkets (Spa and Michaelangelo chains) a short walk away in the town for your meat/veg/dairy/bread etc. Only used the pool once but nice and deep and no shortage of loungers *The Cons* Unfortunately it could often get noisy overnight and in the mornings, probably from other guests coming back drunk and then slamming doors shut, yelling in the stairwells or putting music on loud. This is largely to be expected as it is a budget hotel in Salou after all, and it's really just down to pot luck if you have an considerate guest staying near to your room or someone who 'can't handle their ale'. We spoke to reception about it on one occasion and in fairness to the hotel they gave a number we could call to speak to security if any guests are making a stupid amount of noise after 3am (i.e. having a loud party) and they'll go and tell them to quieten it down. My advice would be to just take some earplugs with you if you're not a very heavy sleeper to take the edge of any noise, and don't go expecting complete silence like you're in a monastery. I would say it may have been noisier as the week we were there was St Jorge's Day and also Barca won the Copa del Rey, so probably more merriment than usual. I would also recommend that you don't pay for an airport coach transfer to the hotel if you're flying into Reus, simply because you won't actually get one! The roads are too narrow to get a coach down so you will be dropped off at another hotel (the 'Salou Park II') and have to make your own way to the Rentalmar. It's about a ten minute walk which you probably don't want to be doing while lugging your heavy suitcases along and trying to see on Google Maps where to go, and the drop-off/pick-up point is up a hill. Reus airport is only about a fifteen minute drive away, so take a taxi to get dropped off at the hotel entrance which would likely be cheaper than the coach transfer (and considerably quicker) anyway. *The Neighbour

Location is about the only good thing I have to say about this place. Arrived at 3pm and paid €10 to check-in early which was fine (price is more if checking in before 1pm). Waited at least 20 minutes for the receptionist to finish speaking on her mobile phone (this was mid check-in, all we needed was our apartment number and code) We were given an apartment that was only accessible by stairs (had a 2 year old with us and a buggy) Lifts are tiny and we had to get two in order to get to the apartment. Kettle was €14 to rent for the week but gave us one with a three prong plug (two prong used in Spain). Apartment appeared clean on entry, unfortunately it was not. My daughter who enjoys running around with no shoes on had FILTHY feet. The floor doesn’t seem to have been cleaned in a few months. Walls really need a paint they are full of marks. You are given towels but once you have used these they are €2 each even if you give back your old towels. Fridge was leaking at not clean All of the above we could have dealt with but the smell of the apartment especially the bathroom was just awful! I couldn’t wait to leave the place it was so so bad. The whole apartment just needs a deep clean and the smell in the bathroom to be sorted. After this experience we’ll be sticking to hotels going forward.

Brill location, 2 mins walk to beach front. Good sized apartment, spacious and very clean. Reception staff were very warm and welcoming explained everything needed clearly. All amenities needed close by. We were charged a £300 deposit for ensuring the room wasn’t damaged. The £300 never left my account and stayed pending until 2 days after check out when it then disappeared, I received emails updating that the deposit wasn’t being kept as room was left as required. Ensure nothing is left in the room (even toilet roll you may of bought) and all rubbish is taken out, don’t leave anything that wasn’t there before ie: no left over creams, alcohol etc.. We used the shop over the road to buy toilet roll when we ran out, unsure if you can get more if asking reception. Pool area lovely and clean, good well stocked bar. Only downside’s were the very bad at times sewerage smell in the bathroom. And the outside noise early hours! The apartment is surrounded by other building so can hear people coming home early hours and people talking on balconies! But if you get enough sun and cocktails it’s easy to sleep through.

The smell in the apartment was sickening and disgusting,I mean really really bad, they sent a guy with some spray which sorted it for about an hour,it stunk out the whole apartment. We had a two bed apartment and the second room was attached to the elevator shaft which made a heavy machine noise all night long, this room was unsleepable. They don't care about noise rules there,we had people beside us playing very loud music through paper thin walls until 3 or 4 in the morning.Im back three days now and no word back from them about a 300 euro deposit which I've heard we will be very lucky to get back.AVOID,AVOID,AVOID

Was extremely nervous to stay here after some of the reviews online but genuinely couldn’t recommend this place enough. Couldn’t get over how clean the apartment was, with provided extra sheets and extra towels. The area was so central 2 minute walk from the main streets. Only small complaint is the check in times, check in isn’t until 5 o’clock which was quite late there was an extra fee to check in earlier, also with a 300 euro deposit expected upon arrival which I got back a few days after check out.

We’ve just returned from a week-long stay here with our three children (ages 10, 8, and 3). After reading some of the reviews beforehand, I was a bit nervous—but we were pleasantly surprised! The rooms were clean, and the check-in process was straightforward. We paid a €300 deposit, which was refunded to my bank account within 10 minutes of checking out. The staff were lovely, and the location was fantastic—right in the heart of the main *****. There’s a supermarket directly across the road and a Burger King just down the street. The only downside was the limited cooking facilities. A kettle and toaster would have been useful, but as it’s a budget apartment, it’s understandable—you get what you pay for. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying again.
